to judge Ange based on it.
irrelevant? he picks the teamIt's short-termism to judge Ange based on it. not sure what the sentiments of 10 years ago have to do with what I posted.
I don't know. Irrelevant to Ange.
First, no one has ever said it. Second, a bunch of people concucting theories doesn't make it so.
And here you have it. There is a huge chunk of angry disgruntled people who lash out - for more fundamental reasons - and who have been triggered by us going out of the EFL cup.
We lost in a penalty shoot out. It happens.like when we are 3-0 up in 70-80th minute. when we play against a lower league side. and never just throw all "B-team" players in and hope they will do well
what's your point then?We lost in a penalty shoot out.
Shouldnt he have already known that? We all did.
His comments after really concern me. He was basically saying that he had to look at these players because he is going to have to rely on them. Ie. We won’t be selling them this window. Sanchez & Hojbjerg should have been out the door at the earliest opportunity but they could still be with us on Saturday. Terrifying.
Just stating a fact.what's your point then?
the fact is the same mistake has been made and we are out of another cup again.Just stating a fact.
Not a what might have been if.
They lost 3-0 at home to Brentford 10 days agovice versa. Fulham is never a side that can be easily beaten and that's why the decision to make 9 changes is dumb
The tinfoil theory that Daniel Levy is both manifestly incompetent yet also able to manipulate Mourinho, Conte, and now Postecoglu to do his bidding and then lie about it, never ceases to amaze and confuse.
I’m sorry but a number of the posts in here are a bit over the top. Disappointing yes, “total disgrace” “all his good work undone” etc etc is a bit much.
We are at the very start of a total rebuild of this squad. He cannot play every player in every game, but I also agree he made a mistake in changing a large chunk of the team.
However, had Bissouma played for example over Skipp, and he got a knock we would have the same posters in here saying “should have played Skipp, it’s a disgrace”.
Fact is, that team should have beaten Fulham last night, it was easily good enough too, and the players have let Ange down. It’s a damning verdict on our back up players and shows just how much work is still left to do with our squad.
As disappointed as I am to not go through, I totally understand that at some point he had to try these other players out in a competitive game, and the league is absolutely his (and the club's) priority for good reason.
A good consolation for going out would be if we finally see the end of some players we all know are done now. Hopefully Ange has seen enough to consent to shipping them off and Levy heeds his warnings and bins them off sharpish.
yes, irrelevant.irrelevant? he picks the team
I assure you the words "should have played Skipp" will never leave my mouth or keyboard
I'm going to call bollocks on this. He's made it very clear what his intentions were with the game and the squad changes as well as his desire to win every game. He hasn't bought in to any long standing modus operandi or been or had his soul compromised by a long standing failure to win cups. It's a club issue, it remains despite manager changes and now Ange has taken part in it. Most who are critical about last night is still behind Ange and will look forward to the weekend. We just see that it's very likely another manager who'll never lift a trophy with Spurs.
