I think he's trying to use Kane's indecision on the move to force him into signing an extension.
Levy doesn't want to lose H for nothing and in all honesty, that's probably the right thing to do.

Kane has flashed his knickers twice now and the first time, Man City didn't stump up the cash.
This time, it seems that Bayern have but Kane's not actually sure he wants to go there, maybe he was trying to use it as leverage?

Whatever the case, Harry and Charlie won't have the brains to battle Levy when it comes to negotiating.
It seems like Levy is about to call their bluff.

Big gamble and a bold play but I guess as chairman he has to do it.

Exit clauses would have to be favourable for Kane to sign anything I'd have thought, certainly after a poor season and with no idea how we'll go under Ange.

What possible ultimatum can Levy give Kane?!

He can’t force him to leave for Bayern and he can’t force him to sign a new contract extension.

it’s desperation that’s what it is and despite the obvious issues it’s going to cause for Ange and the club, Kane is well within his rights to tell Levy to shove his ultimatums up his arse sideways and I’ll see out my contract in a years time thanks.

Emotional damage haha 😂 blackmail I don’t know what you call it these days . Has Kane got the balls to walk away from Tottenham next year after insisting if he is to leave he wants Tottenham to profit from it .

levy will be throwing the whole damn bible at him lol 😂

Has he publicly stated that?

I don’t think we are being unreasonable asking for some form of commitment after how Kane has gone behind Spurs’ backs, gave BM a clear indication that he would join them, then dragged this out for the past few months.

When did we first hear that BM were interested in him? A good while ago. He should have prepped them properly for what the negotiations were going to be like and what would be needed. clearly he’s team didn’t and we as a club have suffered for it, by having our preseason disrup

I don’t buy into the narrative that he’s got something else lined up next year either, or why would he have give BM signs that he would sign for them? It would be a waste of time and energy. He knows that spurs would offer him £400k+ and a healthy sign on fee so he already has something to take to another club to barter with them.

The whole thing just feels like someone who doesn’t know what they want, and doesn’t want to commit to anything.

Can't Harry say nope, I'm seeing out my final year; I don't owe you anything, Levy? Not sure why this isn't the obvious choice if he doesn't fancy going to Bayern and prefers not to sign a new deal with us. What the fuck is he hesitating over?
Yes he can but that doesn't help the club.

Really sounds like Harry was just using Munich to flush out other suitors and now it's come to ahead and nobody else is here he doesnt know what to do

His issue would be if City came in Levy would likely add another 30 odd million to the price

Off-topic but this is the best thread to ask in. Anyone notice any server issues? Today's been our busiest day of the window so far and I was expecting a few issues but things seem to have been fine on my end.
Had 1 issue earlier, but quickly resolved

Prof on COYS has said that he's already rejected such an offer
Sounds like he rejected them as presented. They might be acceptable with further negotiation. There just hasn’t been any of that yet because the Munich situation is been trundling along.

Oooooof I’d still be just glad he turned down Bayern to be honest and at least gives us this season, but Levy is cut from a different cloth…
Me too. But then Kane’s camp shouldn’t have enticed Bayern to start bidding. They forced Levy into a poker match he didn’t ask for, and now he’s gone all in and calling their bluff.

From a Bayern Munich forum:

What a pussy mentality, Jesus Christ.

This is the type of attitude why English/ the Anglo-Saxon fail outside of England . Anglo Saxons only understand their own culture can’t live outside it. Look at bale and Madrid. Who the hell fails integrating at Madrid lol… We should have gone for the killer Serb instead

I'm tired.

If this is actually true he’s a complete idiot. Him agreeing with Bayern on personal terms was the reason why this saga exists and has been going on for 2 months. Pulling off something like this at the last minute when one party has wasted resources on getting a deal done for so long is objectively such a shitty move.

There is a massive PR campaign going on to stay in PL; media former players are all in

THEY can't handle it ... how come he is going to play in nazi farmer league!!!!!??!??!?!

If really, after all this weeks spent on this transfer there is a situation right now where Kane is deciding on this on a sort of 50-50% basis whether to come or stay than we will have the worst 100 M EUR spent for a football player in history.

I ALWAYS doubted his ambition and I am still very afraid he might actually decides to stay…Crazy stuff

What a pussy mentality, Jesus Christ.

Some sore people on there. Especially the one about Bale who won what 4 CL's. Also, till very recently, all our media were trying to sell him to Utd.

This is all on Bayern. They tried to negotiate with Levy who only does this with incomings. Thought they could bully us into accepting a lower offer. No doubt this transfer would've been done if they agreed to the demands a few weeks ago.
I mean, Bale isn't 'Anglo Saxon' either, he's Celtic. Weird for someone from Southern Germany to have some out there beliefs about supposed inherant traits attributed to racial groups

Am I alone in thinking that Kane - for all his goals and past efforts in dragging this club, kicking and screaming, closer to success - could actually end up looking like the bad guy here?
He feels he’s taken us as far as he can and wants a new challenge. I get that.
BM came in and he responded by telling Levy he wanted to go there, leaving the new manager essentially firefighting with the press from day one.
Is it really too much to ask, with the club having agreed to let him go, and having obtained a suitable offer, that he gets on and does what HE has wanted to do all summer?
To my mind this is getting to the point where it shows a level of disrespect to the manager and his fellow players.
