I’m intrigued as to the players we want to bring in if he goes. None of who we have been linked with previously seem like we would be spending the Kane money imo.

Still hope he stays!!

Sounds like you are fishing mate, we've been linked to numerous players over the last few weeks.

Think it could be players like Orban, a wide forward (Fati? Johnson?) and one of the CBs we've been linked to.

That adds up to about 100m

Not at all, we have been linked with a couple that I’d expect us to do regardless of Kane. (The CB mainly)

I initially thought we would buy Orban if he went but others have said he was independent of the Kane situation.

I cannot see anything other than Kane leaving.

We are clearly willing sellers and the idea we’d then just lose out on close to £100m doesn’t seem believable to me, despite the other factors and complications.

It’s hardly like messing our season up has ever been a red line for us in the past that we wouldn’t cross.

Situation is complicated either if Kane stays or leaves.
If Kane leaves we need to replace him.
If Kane stays without contract renewal, we may still want to look to bringing in a forward who will eventually take over the mantle

Both situation affects budget we can spend on new players.

Regardless, we have to start shifting players soon. Likes of Sess, Reguillon (yesterday) getting injured in preseason doesnt help.

Not heard that myself so can't confirm or deny, but I can't see us having 4 CF's at the club if Orban is planned regardless if Kane stays.

This has all come from an agent who knows Charlie, plus has ties to the club. Apply salt and make of it what you will....

Things are a bit of a mess right now as far as the build up of the squad are concerned. It's all getting extremely complicated. If we sell Kane the plan is to bring 3 players in and the clubs we are talking to want definitive answers so they can prepare themselves for the new season. Trouble is we have more players on the books now than we did before the window opened, and we knew we were massively bloated then. The logistics are a complete nightmare. Ange is speaking daily to Harry and there are murmurs are starting to bubble up that he might decide to stay regardless of whether any deal is struck. His wife has been having second thoughts about moving and Harry is not happy with how Munich haven't tied this up already considering how enthusiastically they've pursued him. With a new baby very close they wanted things settled and now the thinking is if it happens Harry goes over and the rest of the family stay until after the birth which is far from ideal.

Munich have been in contact throughout regardless of what we've heard regarding deadlines, and we have been happy to entertain these talks in the hope that a solution is reached for everyone.

My opinion is this is super complicated on numerous fronts and as such I'm not sure how this happens if Kane has indeed set a deadline himself of Saturday evening, there are just too many moving parts.
Where do you put the blame for the squad remaining bloated? Is levy being unrealistic with prices on outs again or do we just have a load of dead wood no one wants on their wages?

Interesting latest update from Trix. I personally wouldn't have been surprised if he didn't want to go abroad at all and they just wanted Bayern to be a stalking horse and set the buying price for others.

The longer this goes on, the more I’m believing he will stay. He is bound to be thinking what we can achieve under Ange, results haven’t been great preseason but we are playing some tasty football.

Its also about deadwood who are injured - Sess, Reguillon (hope not), Bryan.
On Lloris-Levy has to take the hit , if no club comes for him.

Not heard very much regarding the out's tbh. I'm happy DL is bringing players we need in regardless of the outs(which I never expected) so I'm not going to criticise him without knowing the details.

both probably, we aren't likely to let useful players go for money we can't replace them with and we aren't likely to let deadwood go for money that essentially requires us to subsidise the buying club. A lot will happen in the last two weeks.

Thanks for the morning update Trix. It’s a riddle, inside a mystery, wrapped in an enigma how it’ll pan out.

Well seems it would be Orban and Fati as two of them. We’ve also been told we’d look at/like Silva. I know some on Twitter have said Orban regardless of Kane but unless Vilez goes out on loan i don’t see that happening with Kane here.

Think they said Veliz woudn't be loaned or was that not loaned back to Rosario

Yes I think at least one striker would need to go on loan.

We're going to have to be careful with loans this season, though. FIFA are reducing the number of loans allowed by one each season, so we'll only be allowed to loan out 7 players this season and with Rodon and a striker that would already have us down to 5.

If we want to send youngsters like Devine and Scarlett on loan, we really wont have many loan spots left to do our classic deadline day loan jamboree for all the rejects.

We desperately need to actually sell players this summer or we'll end up with like 5 players sat around that we can't even register (and I guarantee we'll end up with 1 or 2 poor buggers twiddling their thumbs given how disorganised we are).

It was not going back to Rosario as far as I’m aware. Which makes sense. I just don’t see us spending €30 odd mil on a 4th striker when there are other positions we really need. If we didn’t buy Veliz or he went on loan to Europe then sure but if our current three options are all staying it would make very little sense considering the greater situation.
