I like the idea of Arne Slot.

But I don't like the idea of singing "Arne Slot do do do do doo" to the tune of Baby Shark.

Obviously want Spurs to win above all else, but just purely from a ‘next manager’ perspective the next match seems like a lose/lose scenario.

We lose and Thomas Frank likely rises up the rankings, we win and Ryan Mason rises up the rankings.

P.S. Yes we 100% shouldn’t be basing things off the result of one game, but unfortunately I believe our management are dim enough to do just that.
Naturally Mason is in audition territory ever since the Man Utd game but you can absolutely be sure that Thomas Frank will see it as a great stage to showcase his abilities to Levy 'n co - especially with the prospect of being potentially paired again with Lee Dykes.

Total hunch, but I still just have an odd feeling that if Munn is to voice his opinion he'd make a pitch for Big Ange and who knows what will happen if he's invited to the interview process. End of the day him, Slot, or Mason I'd be fully happy to back.

Don't hate Xabi Alonso, Glasner, Frank and co. I just feel like they have some Nuno vibes to them..

Told just now we are still speaking to various candidates agents etc. We still don't know who we want is the truth of it.

Levy likes Slot others not so keen. Yes we are still doing this, with everyone and their dog having an opinion regardless of how much they understand about the game. It seems just when we are starting to come to a decision, someone else weighs in that really shouldn't have a say in the bloody matter.

I wonder how many Feyenoord games Daniel has watched this season. If he likes Slot I’d love to know what it is he actually likes about him. Other than that he’s bald I do wonder what else he likes and how he could make such a decision individually. One of the things I dislike the most about most of our board is the arrogance they have any understanding of the game to be even airing their choice of candidate let alone actually going ahead with them.

There’s been plenty of articles and videos posted about Slot over the last few days that show he’s more than just a bald guy.

If anything, by reducing the man to that one attribute it’s you that’s showing a massive lack of footballing knowledge.

Maybe i'm being sceptical but wouldn't suprise me if Levy waits for a few weeks after the season is finished before announcing Mason.
Be perfect timing as people will have less interested with season over and no chants/protest ar games

Sounds like the usual incompetence is still happening, but no surprise there. Live in hope , but expect little to change.

Remember that potential candidates have a say too, if I was a decent manager I would be waiting to see if we get Europe; after all Slot can stay where he is and have a crack at CL and even worse case the Europa League where we may at best have Conference League

I think his point is that levy is clueless when it comes to football so very likely would have no understanding of what he’s actually watching

The main piece of news (rather than a roundup like the rest of the article) is below

You know, i like Ryan. I appreciate that he is club kid. I think he has shown moments of being capable of being a PL manager.

That is why i don't want him to be our manager. He is a hard worker who is at the very beginning of his management career. He is going to make a ton of mistakes, tactical mistakes, personnel mistakes, media mistakes, mistakes with the supporters etc.

I would rather he go elsewhere and get the experience on how to handle and grow from those mistakes because if he makes those mistakes with Spurs he will be crucified by supporters and the media and and this time next year we will looking for another "more experienced" manager.

Unfortunately i have the sinking feeling we may appoint him and in a year there will be a fair amount of people saying "If only we had appointed X we wouldn't be looking for another manager, again."

The absolute worst thing about this whole scenario, all of it: the board, players, lack of manager, ticket prices, lack of DOF, lack of planning, focus on Go Kart tracks over the actual football, the continuously bolstered property portfolio, the state of the squad, the PR fuck ups and the general incompetence in full view in nearly every single facet of this club, is that it kind of renders everything utterly pointless.

What is the purpose of THFC? I'll be damned if I know...

Ambitionless, aimless, barely directionally correct over the last 4-5 years (I'm probably being generous here).

It infuriates me that we likely have people presiding over proceedings that are completely out of touch, outdated, cannot read a room, promote cringeworthy endeavours and just reek of being corporate hacks whose experience and decision making comes from some "modern business" textbook from 2004. It seems they think they understand the game, the fans, what it means to be Spurs, but they are so hideously wrong that it is just laughable.

They strike me as being the kind of group that have blue sky thinking, brainstorms, swim lanes, glide paths, and wanting to know "what good looks like" as their main prerogatives.
Proper Linked-In, cringeworthy, asinine, corporate shitehawks. I don't even think they do it maliciously. I think they're just stupid and hopelessly out of touch and out of date.

I really feel for the fans that go to every game, because they appear to be being completely duped in nearly every way. There was a time when I'd have loved to have been a ST holder, but I've never felt such apathy, irritation, frustration, anger or hostility towards this club as I do now and it's because of ridiculous decision after ridiculous decision which is just hamstringing the sporting side of the club. I cannot abide stupidity and our board are just plain stupid.

I also really feel for those that use football and Spurs as a vehicle for escapism because there's none to be found here at the moment, although that's not me, because I refuse to rely on something that is not within my control for happiness.

There comes a point where you are so full of this weird, confused, raging bewilderment because you cannot see evidence of a single decision having any kind of forethought, and you wonder "how can the board, (who are all paid very handsomely), not grasp this or see this?" They remind me of the hopeless contestants peddling corporate jargon and spiel you'd see on The Apprentice. Knowing full well that it's all just regurgitated stuff they've heard from somewhere that makes them think they'll sound like they know what they're saying.

I literally feel like violently shaking every single one of them and shouting "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE YOU DOING, YOU CLUELESS MORON?!?"

Until this absolute malaise lifts, until wholesale changes are made, we will continue to be essentially pointless.

That's really sad. I used to have hope, optimism, whatever. Now? Nah.

And so what happens, is some people just begin to not care, walk out, not renew their STs, engage with the club less, watch less, start to phase it out of their lives more.

I'll never not support Spurs, but it's so, so easy to see through the smoke and mirrors at board level and understand just how shambolically badly this club is currently being run by the idiots upstairs, that I'll hold out very little hope of this being a worthwhile passtime (or something to be proud of or excited by) any time soon.

I know what he was getting at. I just don’t believe it’s true. I don’t get why any of us think we’ve got better footballing knowledge than the guy who’s sat there week in week out watching the team for the last 20 years.

I’m not saying he’s an expert or anything, but really his exposure to football is about the same as your average season ticket holder (If you ignore the whole running a club thing.) So he likely knows as much about football as you and I at the bare minimum.

We don’t know that Levy doesn’t watch the Eredivisie, or Serie A or the Welsh Premier
League on S4C. So we can’t really speak to that.

What we can do is look at Slot and make our own minds up about him.

They have backed themselves into far too deep a hole to consider appointing Mason.

Check the replies on social media, every single one is some form of Levy out, this is going to get more and more toxic so to then to turn to a 31 year old with no managerial experience after all these years of promises is madness.

Ryan might turn out to be amazing one day but ENIC have created such an environment that it needs someone who can turn it around tactically but get fans inside straight away.
