Simon Kjaer told Sky Sport Italia and Mediaset: 'Kane was the first problem to face on every Tottenham move. It was important to block him off and then press the others. We were ready for a lot of their moves and did what we prepared in training. We knew exactly what they were going to do.'

This has unfortunately been the story of our season. Block Kane off at source. Press Son the minute he receives the ball with his back to goal. Outnumber us 3 vs 2 in CM and have the wingers stick to our wing backs. Don’t press our back 3 at all but press aggressively the minute the ball goes to either wing back or either of our 2 CMs, normally outnumbering them as they receive it. You can write the script every game just now.

Conte is a Juventus man, I used watch Juventus when they were dominating the Italian league and thinking that they really play shit football but it was consistent and effective. Always a set of workmanlike players (Conte) with 1 or 2 superstars (Del Piero) to grab something at the other end.

This is what you get from Conte, it's great for picking up points in a league format but for excitement or cup games not so good hence why his CL record is not so great.

You will never see Conte at a Madrid, Barca or PSG club because of this.

Let’s be honest, this entire season Conte’s got a lot of slack because we all love the idea of Conte, rather than actual Conte.

Yep. Last season was great but this season I’m not convinced at all and keep asking myself whether he is actually that great unless he has the best players. It’s starting to feel like we are flogging a dead horse. Everyone is getting worse and he’s not changing a thing or even freshening it up unless he’s forced to through injury.

There you go. We are so predictable.

Just think we allowed these fraudulent managers (Jose & Conte) to sell our creative players because they didn't fit into there "play not to lose" system, players who wanted to play football, we had ballers.

It's crazy that the majority of fans were brainwashed into hating all those players we sold sent on loan were apparently not good enough to play for this club and now look at us this is the kind of football we get ?

Its comical, It does surprise me how humans are so easily fooled by the woman in the red dress.

Which players are you thinking of? Eriksen was always going to leave, and Jose actively tried to convince him to stay. Bale was a one season loan. Struggling to think of many other creative players Jose and Conte sold?

I agree with your ultimate point though - they are not the right profile of manager for us.

Feels like it's over to me.

He looks exhausted which is understandable, the players look downbeat, we look out of ideas and heading only one way.

Why can't we have nice things?

I'm not going to name the players because a lot of you have been brainwashed into thinking they're not good enough when all they needed was a manager who wants to play progressive forward thinking football because players we got rid of wanted to play forward thinking football not the shite we have seen for the last 3 years.

Levy will sack him if he thinks we will miss out on top four. If we are still in with a shout I can’t seem him leaving before the end of the season.

i do agree, but it doent help with players out of form. I watched kulu get the ball one on one a few times last night and do nothing, lose the ball constantly, fail to make fairly simple passes when under a bit of pressure and then it all falls to pieces.

Same against Leicester. We are managing to isolate fullbacks into 1 on 1 situation which you want, and then the players arent performing.

Kjaer fouled Kane constantly, and the ref did absolutely nothing about it. He should have been yellow carded after 25 mins. The amount of times we had an attack, with space and they just brought us down was a joke. Dier did one pressing foul and got yellow carded.

Next 2 games are huge for Conte. If we see humbling defeats against London rivals that see us falling away from the top 4 I don't see him surviving.

If you say ndombele and lo celso then your point is invalid

Are you talking about loans rather than sales? I literally cannot even think of any creative sales in the last three years.

It's all so one dimensional, and has been all season.

If you paused the game every time a player recieves the ball you can predict what they'll do 90% of the time. Might as well play 11 robots and program in the rigid instructions. No imagination, no creativity. Show any and you'll be shipped out as persona non grata.

Because they had the creativity sucked out of them by these fraudulent managers and I'm talking about loans and players we have sold.

If you say so, your entitled to your opinion.

lol, Ndombele is never going to work out at the top level, he is far too lazy and isn't actually that good, there's a reason his loan isn't going well at Napoli and he's been called out by the manager countless times. Lo Celso i actually rate, but he's had horrendous injury problems and for a guy who is meant to be a 10 he had awful stats at villareal last season

Over the last three years we have gone down a route of going for one dimensional players to play systems rather than football. In a Conte side there is no room for doing anything except exactly what he says. So we don’t see forward’s interchanging like they used to. We don’t want players with flair as they will often be unpredictable. We use methods that can work maybe in Italy or at lower levels but will not cut it in the PL.

We are utterly predictable. Yet many people are calling for the club to go further down this route and ditching everything to appease Conte. They want even more of the same garbage!!!

I think Paratici is looking more and more like a charlatan every window, and we all know the issues with Levy. I want him gone as well and people need to stop thinking it's one or the other.
I'm back to thinking this. How long can he live off two great signings from his old club? We had one defender unavailable on the weekend and started with Davies, Dier and Tanganga. How the fuck is this acceptable. Conte's inflexibility combined with being made to work with third rate players is a disaster.
