Our whole backline contracts could be up at the end of the season and not one serious team would even think about signing them, yet some people still think the likes of Dier and Davies are good enough for this club. Horrible squad building by Paratici and if anyone of these players are still starting for us next year, he's clearly not done a good job.

Serious questions need to be asked of Conte in regarding a number of things.

Why do we play some of the worst football in the league during the first half? almost admitting defeating and letting ANY team score a number of goals before we attempt to claw it back 2nd half. How is that type of football sustainable? Conserving energy for what? Might as well just give the teams a 2-0 lead and not come out for the first half if that's the plan

Why play inferior players when he has better players available? Shocked that we suddenly looked more dangerous once Kulu and Doherty came on.
We spent most of the summer desperately trying to spend big on CBs (Bastoni, Bremer, Gvardiol) to replace Dier and Davies but couldn't get them. It was clearly a huge priority position, but if we can't get players we consider good enough, is it worth dropping more money on 2nd or 3rd rate players just because? I actually think Lenglet was a very smart stop-gap signing and has been an upgrade on Davies at LCB when he's played there.

I certainly have questions about some of Paratici's squad-building decisions but I can't blame him for the CB situation as that was down to the market, selling clubs being awkward and players' personal situations more than it was Paratici.

Why does every recent match against Liverpool feel the same. Play pretty well, miss chance after chance but somehow walk away with nothing. I still can’t forget when Lloris through the ball into his own net in the 92nd min at Anfield… literally just after Sissoko blazed over 1 on 1

See alot of comments about the ref, was he that bad??
Four minutes added time when they time wasted all second half.

didn't give us a single big decision. Hard to tell from south with the sessegnon pen but Kane was clearly fouled on the edge of the box - countless calls like that

Jeez, the ‘Dr Tottenham’ stuff gets a bit boring the millionth time you read it in a thread.
'Dr Tottenham' and 'Spursy' are both extremely tedious terms. Very little, if anything that happens to us is unique to Spurs. It's like a some kind of self loathing

Am I crazy - that second felt like an absolute battering by us. What did it look like on tv?
Yeah we pinned them back really well. The crossing improved with Deki and Doc on the right, and Perisic back at LWB, which meant 75% of what went into the box ended with at least a half chance.

I didn't renew my ST so I can't judge fans who pay a lot of money

Just need something new. For all his quality he has been with us 10 years. Need a fresh look
I think it needs looking at but it will be difficult. Don't disagree and I do think he shouldn't be captain but it's such an important role and there are so many average keepers.

Other than a bad first half I actually think we deserved something out of the game considering the second half. We got very unlucky with the amount of times the ball hit the woodwork

If Arsenal weren’t currently top the amount of negativity here would be half what it is.

I think we’re all just quite taken aback by how each team’s season has so far gone in terms of performances, given us beating them to the top 4 last year was meant to be a bit of a sliding doors moment with us kicking on and them being mentally destroyed and falling further back.
I do agree with this. However looking at our last half dozen games or so we have been really disappointing, regardless of Arsenal.

Good 45.

Makes me so angry about how negatively we set up. It’s a fucking joke.
I’m sorry I just don’t get this. Your biases are blinding you if you think we played negatively in the first half. We pressed them up field and it was by far our most attacking first half for quite some time.

Just off a plane .
Was it the same poo poo first half , turned up second half?
Wasn't quite the same in the first half as Marseille/Newcastle/Bournemouth. We were a bit better, but made one bizarre mistake for the second, and had a switch off for the first.

So fucking angry. At the ref. At the unfair result. At Diers stupid stupid error n an other wise good game.

and the fucking gobshite 20 something "fans" openly kicking the team rather than supporting. Absolute ****s and embarrassing cringeworthy "support".

time for the club to make noise about refereeing and time wasting- after the disgrace that was Newcastle (record low amount of time played in a game at 53 minutes)

The problem with complaining about time wasting is that we have done exactly the same. At least, in the dim and distant past when we actually had leads to protect.

When you are always giving teams a start and something to protect then this is what happens.

This is to do with watching polar opposites of approach between first and second half. Its about the actual game and seeing with our eyes the difference between the two halves. This is nothing to do with Arsenal.

Hello Sooty :cautious:

We created one dangerous attack in the first half. At home.

We surrendered possession for the first 20 mins and let Liverpool just get in their groove while leaving their wide players in loads of space.
