When he was at Chelsea it took a result like this against Arsenal for him to pivot his tactics. Hopefully this result does the same. The two in the middle just isn’t working

We need to try something else.
If that's different players or formation, I don't know.

But I could forgive the cm 2 being over ran if the fullbacks then looked for the extra space out wide.

We've been the worse team today but we were still in the game before that fucking red.

Stupid challenge but honestly, how often do you see that given as a red in the PL? Maybe 1 in 20 times? Totally fucked us.

It deserves to be a red just for the stupidity alone IMO.

And let's be honest, if the roles were reversed then we would be screaming for a red.

Well I have been saying that this 11 wont be the one that Conte relies on come January/February.

Think we'll see some come in now and make a claim

What the fuck! Absolutely ludicrous statement. Arteta is utter shite, see the end of last season. They have been lucky today we’ve given them two goals. If we’d turned up like we did at the end of the season we’d have smashed them.

He's clearly not. Inexperienced, and liable to mistakes, yes, but to say he's utter shite is just ignorance and bias.

He is, however, a monumental prick.

He's shit and yet they are the better team. Doesn't it say something about Conte then? He can't play better vs a team with a shitty manager. And they have not been lucky. Even before the red card they deserved the three points. They outplayed us for 30 min in the first half and we had nothing in the second half (even before the red card).
Trolling at this point.

Pretty much thrown away the game. Key was handing over the initiative to them in the first 5 mins of the half when we should have looked to stifle them and get the crowd anxious. Royal challenge was a stupid one in a non threatening area of the pitch. Even the defending for the 3rd wasn't exactly great.

Can setup anyway you want but when individual players make mistakes leading to goals or ones that massively influence the game at this level, everything goes out the window. We were well in the game in that first half and were causing them issues on the counter that had them worried. Can't see past today being down to Lloris and Royal.

We haven’t even scored from open play today. A penalty yes but attacking wise we’ve been turgid.

I don't understand why Bissouma can't start. It's not like he's not prem proven. He's got the desire and quality we need in midfield

People are getting carried away. The first half went relatively well. We made a mistake early second half by a player who has been excellent for a long time (Lloris has saved us many times). That mistake didn’t have to be terminal. But the red card soon after - a decision that was very harsh - compounded the problem. It means the narrative will be about those two errors but there’s a lot more to the game and our season than that. It’s shit but it’s football.
