Richarlison the pigeon, isn't sleeping at 3AM and is chatting to Brazilian birds on twitter (look at his TL ;))

I am sure he will do well on pitch...but off the pitch , he is going to be different gravy :)

I couldn’t be arsed if he miskicked every ball and had the touch of 2022 Lukaku.

That’s the physical presence, both speed and aerially, we’ve been missing up front. It’s Richarlison in the flesh. Can name maybe 5 forwards in world football who can run in behind, play with their back to goal, and challenge defenders aerially in duels like he does . So difficult to defend.

Definitely looks like he can hold the ball and win free kicks when the pressure is on. Shame he didn't get a head on the Sess cross which Son got too instead, thought he had a better chance on that one but Son had to go for it.

For a pre season friendly there were an awful lot of tackles where marks were left - Richarlison was on the end of a number of them.
Still preferred Kulu when he came on 2nd half tho - very intelligent baller.

Richarlison looked decent, worked hard while he still had energy. Combined with Lucas well.

in general, Sevilla looked fresher and better on the ball. They were able to play through us more easily than us through them. But that’s okay - Conte have been driving these guys hard, and useful to still see the work we need to do advancing the ball out of our initial third. Will help having Bissouma, and Perisic in the line-ups, Doherty play his preferred position, Davinson not at LCB (he was very limited there). Overall a positive exercise.

Work rate was excellent but I thought his ball retention was horrendous.

I have read Everton fans saying he’s not very good from the right and has to play left or central. I reckon they will be correct from what I’ve seen so far.

So we still need cover and competition for Deki but he should be good cover for Son and Kane.

I see Harry Rednapp has given his opinion and is saying he’ll be a trouble maker. I think Richarlison is just unlucky that his resting face looks like that of an axe murderer who’s just found you hiding under the bed. On the pitch he looked like he just really wanted to score, hopefully he won’t have to wait long for his first goal but he already looks like he’ll be a good signing to me.

I personally think he’ll end up proving over priced, but none the less a good option to have in the squad.

For me he’s a striker, and he might be able to fill in on the left; but that’s not his natural position.

I think he’ll be vital as a credible rotation option, and a genuine replacement if/when Kane gets injured.

But I’ll be pretty surprised if, in the very biggest games, he ends up starting. I think other players offer more.

Let’s see though

One thing I really want to see - Richarlison playing on the right/center when Perisic plays. I'd like to see what he can do with some quality deliveries into the box.

But, so far, I have been happy with his play, and energy. I think he fits in well with the squad already, and will be an important player for us this season.

That seems a fair assessment to me, we’ll have to see if he can raise his game under Conte though because if he can reach the next level it’ll be a much more difficult decision.

I am all for officials letting the game flow in friendlies but thought Rich and Kane were consistently kicked at and fouled this evening that really prevented our front 3 from gaining any sort of fluidity.

He looked under some pressure to perform and justify his price tag. I hope he can just use the pre season games to relax and play his game, score in them, and relief those pressure.

Grateful we can use pre season games to bed in the stressful strikers. How often they were signed so late in the window they were thrusted straight into competitive games they were like doomed to fail.
