Yeah I get the Ndombele thing but Yves has PL experience. Anyway he left Brighton having had a 5 yr deal signed and wouldn't renew.
Just wary i guess... don't want him trying to walk away with 1 yr left. Anyway let's enjoy the ride and I'm sure Levy will look after the rest.

I think Tanguy was 6 because at the time, I was buzzing about tying such a talent to the club for so long... ?
You right would have wanted 5yrs.... it's just my thing..pay me no mind.... I always look out for this...it started with Gareth Bale only doing 4 yr deals... also noticed when Skipp renewed it was 4 yrs.

It allows flexibility. He’ll be 29 when his contract ends. When it ends, from his pov he’ll be looking for a big contract to see him to the end of his career. From ours we’ll be able to assess if he’s still going to have the physicality he has now going into his mid thirties.

I still would like an Eriksen type player but perhaps that is me being greedy. Id rather focus on the RWB for now. That takes priority even over a defender - thats just me.

Loving this summer. I can't actually remember another time where we were making numerous quality additions to the squad without it being off the back of the loss of a Bale, Gascoigne, Berbatov, Modric etc. What a truly wonderful feeling. In homage to the Brighton chant, it's tequila tonight for me.
Oh and lol, "only" a 4 year contract? "Might leave with one year left?". Seriously??? Fuckin 'ell, enjoy the moment. Extensions can and do happen you know. Three years now before there is any need to worry about that and if he performs - and the club do also - he will be here to stay.
