Exactly this. Too many people in a rush to get rumours out there to claim they were first to report it. Aside from anything other than there being interest mentioned from journos, this is the first reporting from a huge outlet and must be something coming from either us or Inter.

Even if they're late who cares, the encouraging part isn't the idea of sky being the first to run a story, the encouraging part is that mainstream media is starting to pick up the news which typically happens when there's something brewing.

Didn't SkySports once say we were in talks to sign Carlos Puyol as 'breaking news' when he was at his pomp in an all conquering Barca team?

Their 'sources' mainly amount to what is already flying around Twitter these days.

Isn’t that what News outlets do? Report what is already flying around. Fair enough, a Twitter account with 2/3k followed might have tweeted it months ago, but Sky at least need to check with their “sources” I suppose. They’d be the last source I go to for news anyhow - but like with any transfer, it’s all gossip until it’s confirmed 100% by the club IMO.

I get Sky aren't the quickest or most reliable these days but I do find it funny that loads of you guys will be v quick to have a go at them whenever a Sky journo says something, whilst simultaneously losing your shit over a media report from TuttoCalcioMercatoWeb.

I am fully anti-sky and their slowness as explained here BUT just remember Di Marzio is probably closest of all journos to Paratici & Conte and he works with Sky Italy and Sky UK very closely now.

I think it's because more people know the validity, or lack of, of Sky over random Italy sources. I personally don't know if most foreign sources are bullshit or legit, but I know Sky are just behind or making up most shit.

Spoke to my guy today, club more confident than ever that a deal for Bastoni will be done. Seems we've made some progress the past 48 hours. Obviously not done but looking good ??
