Athletic now reporting PSG are asking to take him on Loan for 6 months. :)

Paris Saint Germain are interested in taking Tanguy Ndombele on loan from Tottenham Hotspur for the rest of the season.

Ndombele has fallen out of favour so badly at Tottenham that he is now training on his own and has not made the match-day squad for Spurs' last two games.

But Mauricio Pochettino, who signed Ndombele for Spurs from Lyon in 2019, is still an admirer of the player. And Pochettino's PSG are now ready to offer Ndombele the opportunity to turn his career around. PSG need more quality in midfield and Georginio Wijnaldum has struggled to impress since joining on a free transfer from Liverpool last summer.

Tottenham are keen to find a new club for Ndombele and know that they will struggle to recoup the £55 million that they paid Lyon for him in 2019. This makes a loan move the most likely outcome, for a player who still has two and a half years left on his contract. Spurs previously struggled to find a new club for Ndombele when he asked to leave last summer, hoping to go to Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Barcelona.

Ndombele would rather only leave Tottenham for another big club, and on the surface PSG would look like a perfect fit. Not only is Ndombele himself from the Paris suburbs, but PSG have a long-standning admiration for him, having tried to sign him in 2020.

Honestly with the work rate of their front three they need industrious players behind them, but then the club seems to place higher priority on gathering a collection of big talents than it does on putting together a cohesive squad. Let's hope there's truth in this.

That’s awesome. I think he’ll do great at PSG. They’re really lacking in quality in midfield.

Get him over there, let him take the piss out of the French league. Ideal world PSG then give us £40-50m for him in the summer.

I think PSG is a good shop window loan.

It's about the only club in the world that makes sense for him at the moment.

- Poch loves him
- It's France so he'll feel at home
- They have stupid money
- The status of club matches his delusions of grandeur

Guaranteed we somehow find a way to make this deal not happen.

Fantastic, he'll hopefully tear up the french league as he did before.

Then in the summer we might actually get some money for him.
