I think a lot of you need a reality check and to be aware that this isn’t a game of football manager. We kept our main asset, upgraded a number of key positions and are top of the league. The team are playing with confidence, Dele looks up for it for the first time in a long while and our RB position has a solid upgrade. We don’t know what goes on behind closed doors, and can only hope Tanguy sorts himself out and tries harder. Could be depression not simply laziness. Be kind.

Be patient, let’s judge the business of the club at the business end of the season. #coys

How dare you come on this thread talking so much sense!

I want to be angry about something!

When Kane sprains one of his ankles and is out 6 to 8 weeks, what happens if Son gets injured as well? How can they go into rest of season with no backup striker?
It will ruin the season and likely get nuno the sack.

Meanwhile we will be having these same debates this time next year as levy carries on and people defend him.

5 people plus a 17 year old kid to cover three positions is crazy but nothing will ever change.

Can someone post that copypasta about how “this thread is being filled with similar messages?”

What I legit don’t understand is what was the deal with the Martinez and Vlahovic bids/interest? So the club knew they needed another attacker but decided it was either those two or no one else in world football?

Where did the money go that we were going to spend on either of them? Surely that could have been used for Traore.

Hi, I've been lurking here for a few weeks.

I guess I find the ITK stuff pretty entertaining and so. I don't know if it is because of Paratici being new and the sources have dried out, or if the ITK stuff is just made up, but as far as I recall, the ITKs haven't been first on a rumour or called one single recruitment this summer. And the latest ITK says that Levy has pulled the plug on more players in. When nothing else has been true, can we really trust this particular post, or is it as much made up guesswork as all other ITK posts have been all summer?

Is there some kind of follow up on ITK, are some more reliable than others?

Yep ****.

How many of you are still secretly expecting a Neves/Adama late double deal - we were asked to keep it quiet so that Wolves didn’t get the price ramped up for their replacements?

it ain’t over until it’s over - I’m more ITD (In The Dark) than ITK.

N'dombele better get his sh*t together, and Nuno better get our offensive going. I know our position right now is great, but I struggle to see us getting CL with the current squad. Would love to be proven wrong though <3

"Despite the Head Coach, Director of Football and Director of Technical Performance all deciding that Traore was the one they wanted and spending the last week of the window negotiating for him, thankfully Levy saw sense and told them at the last minute that in fact he wasn't going to sanction their crazy attempt to give us a new attacking option and we'd be sticking with our two non-scoring wingers and the youth team player."

There you go.

I'm pro-Traore, but even I can see the contradiction!

Well, I was so pleased with last seasons summer transfer business as we’d brought Bale back, signed a striker on loan and fixed the left and right back positions :)censored:) that I swore I wouldn’t criticise Levy for the next two windows.

Roll on January

I think Nuno was the best signing, the man is class and will make our team larger than the sum of it's parts.

Oh well. On the bright side, all the players have had the whole pre-season to get used to each other and the new manager, we've had no major disruption to team morale and there's not a global pandemic that's going to lead to half the team quarantining/isolating for most of the year...

One of my mates is a Watford fan. He sent a WhatsApp message group I’m on saying our ground was magnificent. A Chelsea fan replied saying the best in the premier league. My question to all the levy supporters justifying his failure again to fully back our manager is what is the point in putting our club into such debt if you are not going to find a fully competitive playing squad? Seriously what is the point? What are we actually trying to do here as a project.

I think it is more they had completely confidence that Martinez and Vlahovic are/will be top quality strikers so paying 50/60 million for one of these would have set us up for years so they were willing to commit the money. I can’t think of another realistic striker who you could say the same for personally

It's not black and white. You're right that it hasn't been a disastrous window but, equally, you don't have to be playing football manager to be able to sign a second striker.

Also we haven't upgraded many positions - we've upgraded RB and one CB spot whilst downgrading our RW options by losing Bale.

Relying once again on Dele to somehow rediscover his form on like four years ago or Ndombele to do a total u-turn and just become a professional is a huge risk and one which other clubs probably wouldn't be so easy in taking.

It's been a decent start and we've successfully made the squad much younger but in the short term it's nothing more than an average window at best imo.

Ok so I'll be thrown out of here for asking a simple question? Well if that's the case, so be it. It's not like a get any information here before it's all over Twitter, that was what I was hoping when signing up.

You're really not doing a great job of proving me wrong.

****.
