Midfield needs work. Wolves' settled press isn't spectacular but we can't keep possession as we have no natural passers or dribblers in the middle of the park. Kane would help sustain possesion but an Ndombele would make the most difference.

We lack a playmaker in the middle of the park. Alli is a box to box midfielder in this formation and Höjbjerg and Skipp is kinda similar in their playstyle. We lack more than that, but yeah..

Individually and collectively we've been pretty awful. Pitch seems twice as big when they have the ball. It's going to be a case of us improving in the second half, because we can't be much worse, or them being more clinical.

Hojbjerg and Skipp sitting too deep for me. Understand why because our CB's are ropey as fcuk. Worst thing is our defence have more forward passes than the 3 mids and they're all punt upfield and come down with snow on! This keeps Sonny will want to leave too. Awful just awful, I can't remember a worse midfield creativity wise for Spurs.

I think we need a leveller.

Mayve Gil can come on and get on the ball to give them something to worry about.

I don't really want us to have to rely on Kane but we may need to.

Think we need a tweak of formation. Bergwijn and Moura need to be a bit more in the mix and are a bit peripheral as they are. Also, not sure there's going to be much joy in playing long balls to a front three with a combined height of about 8ft

thing is we have a Argentinian midfielder, Spanish midfielders on the bench and I’m not convinced they’d make a difference.

it’s worrying we do seem to make purchases but still seem to miss the positions we’ve been crying out for for years. In this case a midfielder who can hold onto the ball.

I agree. Having them in the bench as part of the match day team may be fine in principle. But having Paratici shouting orders is counterproductive. He’s not responsible for the playing side and should keep quiet.

The issue is the personnel, not the tactics. Skipp and PEH are simply not creative, nor dynamic on the ball. Dele, Bergwijn, and Moura all struggle in the final third and have for two seasons now. The best case result is probably holding on for 1-0 here and Nuno seeing that he needs to integrate Lo Celso, Kane and frankly, keep Ndombele at the club and get the best out of him.

We are being physically bullied. The biggest issue is the 3 up top who just lose the ball every time they get it. We need kane on to hold the ball up.
