Bloody sad times. Still remember watching him coming through in the early days and then defending him for years when other teams fans would slag him off and say he was slow etc. Glad to have seen him play, but wish he could have left with a bit more class - and overseas. ??

It will be a very sad day when it's confirmed but despite how shitty he has been over the last few weeks you can't begrudge him wanting to move - the club didn't do enough to build the team to support Poch and this is the end result. The good news is that we do actually appear to be in the early stages of building what could be an excellent side going forward.

Quite sad that, as a best case scenario, the £130/140m for Kane will probably only get us Martinez and Vlahovic.

Unless one of them really explodes I can't see how this improves us much or even gives us a big chance of a rebuild tbh. Still going to need funds on top of that to buy another quality CB and maybe a CM or RW.

As soon as a big club push for our best players we fold in the end. We were sold a dream that this would stop when we have our shiny new stadium but nothing changes. We now seem further away from winning stuff than we did in our last season at the Lane. We can try to spin this as much as we like but this is yet another massive step back from us competing with the big boys. So so sad.
It’s really not, City, Chelsea & PSG are on another planet to virtually every other club.

We have the stadium now which once the events come back and fans and sponsorship deals we will grow and grow financially as close as we can to those 3 but without an oil country behind us we and others will never compete.

This is a situation where right now we have an opportunity to sell a player who’s head is fully turned like an owl and we can use this to re-build and become a better overall sum of our parts.

We best come up with a song for him for when we play against him.

Possibly not as derogatory as the "spits when he talks" one that has been sung.

Yes I'm absolutely bitter towards him.

Disclaimer: if he stays I will delete this.

No longer our own.
No longer our own.
We've adopted Son now.
And you're all alone.

Players come and go, think we’ll see Son leading the line quite a bit of the first half of the season. People need to give Nuno time this ain’t gonna be easy.

What do you expect when we get people saying oh it doesn't matter if we sell him to City, we're not rivals, we're nowhere near them... Well what the **** do you think giving them our best player will do? Shouldn't we be aiming higher and thinking yeah they are one of our main rivals???

But the fans are right! We know the club so well that we know we won’t truly try to compete. The fans think that way because they know the club think that way.

I dont think its as simple as that, every club sells players and every player has a price plus an unhappy player disrupts the atmosphere of the whole squad and we need everyone pulling together. He has completely destroyed his legacy at Tottenham and someday he will regret that im sure. Good riddance to.him, we as a club will rise more united and stronger . COYS.

Are you absolutely sure about that statement ? I understand your reticence but next season will NOT be decided by the result of Sunday's match.

What are you on about? I haven't said anything about Sunday's match.

We aren't close to bringing in any of Kane's replacements currently.

Martinez is apparently in talks over a new contract and his agent came out and said he wants to stay. With Vlahovic we've enquired but that hasn't seemingly progressed either.

The way I see it, we're about to lose our best player and still have all the glaring weaknesses in the squad from last year too.

Tottenham needs to get a move on because the team is severely lacking in quality currently and we're running out of time to fix things.
