Neither are Spurs legends. Berbatov isn't even close. Bale is maybe more arguable but it's helped massively by the fact he went abroad.
Yep Bale didn't go to a direct rival and I can't recall for sure but I don't t think he ever took the pitch against us for Real?

Sad that it's come to this but after a short while of seriously considering him leaving, I think I just want him sold to be honest.

Not at a low fee or for players, I hope we rinse City. Only a few weeks ago, I was hoping that Nuno or Paratici could twist his arm.

The interview on its own, whilst ill-judged and ill-timed, didn't really turn me against him in anyway as I felt he was partly doing it to shake Levy, plus we were all furious with Levy anyway. But the interview together with his behaviour over the last few days, plus the petty Instagram posts - I'll explain why shortly - have all added to a feeling of numbness towards him.

Instagram posts - I've always felt that football club's social media is not just a representation of the club but the fans as they share the joy of news or such, for Kane to ignore the club's Happy birthday message is a way of him shunning the fans IMO. The message isn't coming from Levy, who let's face it is who Kane has a gripe with, it's a representation from the staff, players and fans - the family, so to speak. For him to ignore that is appalling. even if someone else is in control of his social media, although that's unlikely considering the pettiness behind it.

Just say 'thank you', at least we know you are still Spurs even if you want to leave. I'm stunned by his behaviour in this. You think you know someone (obviously I don't, but you get my drift).

Now I'm hoping it's his neck.

Probably a misclick, but if not...

My assumption is it's not a misclick. Accidentally liking posts on insta doesn't tend to happen too often (from my experience anyway), plus I'm sure he'll have been tagged enough for him to now be aware of having liked it. Only thing I would say is that I guess there's a possibility he doesn't even run his insta account

I would call Bale a Spurs legend. Some of the memories he gave us were incredible and he single handedly got us into the CL. He’s always welcome back at the club as a visitor or ambassador. He’s certainly done enough to earn the legendary status. End of the day he went onto at that time the best team in the world to win so many trophies so can’t begrudge him for that. The fact he also went abroad as well so I didn’t have to witness him scoring goals against us certainly helps.

Also he wasn't "one of our own", to me that's a huge difference. In a way Harry has lived off of this, he knows how much he is/was loved by us but always fancied the bird up the road.

Harry Kane is a top striker and a decent bloke. His efforts to engineer a move to a better team doesn't change this.

Spurs are a great club and we shouldn't sell him. If we do sell him, it will be because we choose to do so.

We all knew this was coming after the last two seasons. He's in the top percentile of players in the world and a determined guy who knows Champions League football might not happen for him again if he stays with us, let alone competing to win it. The idea he should 'honour' his contract or be loyal to fans is a little precious, to say the least. If he's still here in September he'll be lauded by Spurs fans again, as he should be, for being phenomenal.

If your feelings are hurt or you're lashing out about this you should probably just grow up. The quip above on social media about trophies won (Harry vs Spurs) and needing to use a photo of *Bill Nick* proves Harry's point, of course. Self owns are never a good look.

Before this all kicked off. I actually got a Spurs shirt with Sonny on the back as I can see he has so much more love for the club than HK.
The way Sonny broke down in that final last year you can see he really does bleed this club. Harry goes on about being one of our own yet he’s happy to bang in goals against us in the most competitive competition in the world. Doesn’t sound like one of our own. Trophies or no trophies you stick with the club if you love it that much because we all fall together and we all win together. That’s what being one of our own is about.

He’s the best striker I’ve seen us have and could end up being the best striker I ever will. His behaviour is pathetic and so so wrong but there is too much adjusting of reality by fans to cope with fact he’s leaving. He can’t be replaced on an individual basis, it’s completely impossible I just hope we continue what is looking like smart transfer business so far well into the fee we get for him. We’ll need it because we are losing an absolutely sensational footballer.

Does anyone else get the feeling that City don’t actually want him as much as he thinks they do?

This. I actually blame Charlie Kane and Harry for employing him and listening to him during this whole debacle.

City opened up bidding with a 100m bud for Grealish, which is probably a fair valuation.

“If” they have mage a bid for Kane it appears to be 100m.

Hearing that there is an interest from City has probably got little Charlie creaming in his Y-fronts and being the seasoned agent that he is has decided that he will broker a massive Windfall for himself.

He has been asked to go and fetch the ball for the Big Boys team and thinks he is now a worthy part of that team. Little does he know that when he comes back with the ball they are going to ask him to go and get the oranges for half time.

If City really wanted HK they would bid far closer to his worth. Perhaps they understand that his agent is playing at being an agent and trying a cheeky bid for a player that is not at the top of their list. As has been mentioned on here there are other strikers out there that would make much more sense than Kane.

We all know, as probably do City that Levy will never allow himself to be greased up and F****d from behind.

As I say IMHO this whole scenario is the fault of an agent with ideas of grandeur who’s only talent lies in the fact that he has a brother.

…..and Harry for having faith in his brothers abilities.

I had to double check this, and painstakingly after awhile scrolling down the list of likes of that post, Sonny did actually like it .. surprising if im honest, although, maybe he has others who manage his account on a daily basis and he is not aware of this, most high profile players and celebs do, so i you can only assume rather than be 100% .... Even if Son does have feelings about this, he really doesnt seem to be the guy that would do this, not in public anyway.

PS he has not unfollowed kane

I mean frankly HK shouldn't be entitled to loyalty bonus given the way he has seemingly conducted himself regardless, but contracts are contracts. Given how he is suposedly about to double his wages, NOT handing in a Transfer Request to get any loyalty bonus on top, just looks even greedier in these circumstances. It should be the minimum alongside attending training.

I have no issue with HK wanting to leave or even being miffed if he feels it isn't progressing in a manner he believes it should, but out of respect to the fans he should have been more professional, turned up to training, and handed in a TR and let the big boys sort it out.
I Find it interesting that players regard a “gentleman’s agreement” to be allowed to leave as a cast iron agreement by the club but the request to leave by the player that leads to that “gentleman’s agreement” is not a “Transfer Request”. A bit of a double standard. In Kane’s case if he was to leave Tottenham should refuse to pay any loyalty bonus. If it went to Court I find it hard to believe that any jury or judge would rule that he didn’t request a transfer.

Sorry to be a dick, but: I don't really like this "Charlie Kane has bad taste" chat

If he acts like a prick, that's one thing, but taste is personal - he might well not like what some of you have.

By all means criticise him for not acting well though - knock yourselves out on that!
Too many fucking snowflakes on here. Grow up ffs. Blokes clearly a wanker. Doesn’t give a shit about the team that made Harry. How would the Kane team feel if we decided we wanted shot of him under different circumstance? And we’re trying get get him off the wage bill to say a foreign team? They would say fuck right off.

This whole situation somewhat reminds me of Lebron James when he first left the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland was his hometown team and he was there for first seven years of career and was unsuccessful in winning a championship. He left Cleveland in a very public and humiliating manner for the organization to join a super team in Miami to guarantee championships.

The fans in Cleveland completely turned against him, burned his jerseys in the street and was made a bit of a Benedict Arnold/traitor. Granted, he returned years later and they welcomed him back. I just wonder at this point how much damage Harry has done and the fan reception to him when he does leave. Kind of saddens me as it really didn’t need to be that way.

Lebron's contract expired. HUGE difference between that and a guy on a 3 year deal.

I think Harry's gone, you know. Because I have just seen these breaking news that City have decided not to go for Grealish:
That's dated August 1st my friend and is rather a comic strip story, besides an awful lot can happen in a couple of days. Check out this article for example :
