If he wants to win trophies go to Madrid, Barca, psg or Bayern.

Going to a direct premier League rival and setting up against your 'own' team is a dick move.
But there is no chance that a club like Barca or Bayern are gonna pay £150m.

We won, fuck all, those seasons were an off as Liverpool, City etc were in turmoil.

When we came 2nd to Chelsea that season there was a little part in the back of my mind that was wondering whether we’d missed our chance and it wouldn’t come round again due to a combination of other big clubs getting their shit together and us continuing our m.o. of not investing when we were in a good position.

I had hoped it might be different. It could have been different if our number 1 priority was matters on the pitch, rather than off it.

I totally agree, if we had of won the league and invested sure. but 1, we didn't win and 2, would we have invested?

Best of luck to him. We can have no complaints. We’re shit he deserves better. If the clubs footballing ambition matched their business ambition he’d still want to stay.

If the clubs footballing ambition matched their business ambition they would refuse to sell him.

The Kane Paradox.

? I'm saying I'd rather him let the fans know that he wants to leave now as opposed to the summer after the EURO's.

At least the fans know what to expect.

I do know what you mean, but after this shit show of a season I was looking forward to the Euros as a distraction from Spurs. And there will be a part of me that will enjoy the Euro’s far less knowing that the England captain may either not be our player anymore or at the very least has made his desire to leave clear.

The board, the new coach, Kane, Son, Hugo, PEH need to get into a room with each and have a very very frank conversation about which players they feel are letting the club down and are not putting it in.

We did this at my last club I was coaching at as we already had an idea on who wasn't pulling their weight but it allowed us to really get these players on side and show to them that we are setting a standard. Bit by bit you can get other players on the right side and get rid of those that have had their time.

If the room is surrounded by mirrors they see looking at part of the problem

My gut is that Levy - while trying to drive the price up as much as possible - will let him go if we get a decent 3-figure bid.

We’re looking at a season out of Europe and a complete re-build with a new manager and a smaller squad. This is Poch Year 1 again (hopefully!)
