you don’t have to have the ball to win a penalty.

remember Lamela getting kicked in the back against Liverpool? stonewall penalty if you assault or wipe out a player regardless of whether he has the ball or not

No there wasn’t intent. He doesn’t come “flying in” he slides in to make a tackle or block. It is a penalty but it’s not a goal scoring opportunity so it’s not a red.

It was barely a foul. Let alone a red mate. Still, who cares> Went in our favour for once. Plus Hojbjerg just got away with a foul without a card. Swings and roundabouts/

Fair enough. And I’ll call out other teams too. It’s a shitty part of the game no matter who does it. It’s dishonest.

Like Lacazette last week. Sure he gets taken out but that reaction was unnecessary.
