We have a host of reliable reporters in England and Spain saying it’s close tonight, Bale’s agent saying it’s what he wants, and weeks of news that Madrid were going to subsidize his wages for whoever would take him.

This one guy saying RM want us to pay 100% of the wages is what we call an outlier.

If I thought for a second we were getting the same Bale we sold I'd be creaming in my knickers but he's not. Sorry but thats a fact. He's just not.
How good he is now we dont really know but I think the statement in getting him will help things and he is still a very good player regardless IF he can stay fit.
Hopefully we'll see. Believe it when I see it though.

The way I look at it, if I’m Bale, after the hate he’s taken at Real, what could be better than returning to the club, now with a world class stadium, where he will he welcomed with open arms like the second coming! Even if only for a year to get things back on track and then see what’s what after that. We will make Bale great again

Who the fuck do you mark? All absolutely lethal.

If this transfer happens, the only gutting thing is that we wouldn’t be able to see the crowds reaction when he enters the stadium for the first time and the BALE! BALE! BALE! chants happen. That’s the bit that would give me goosebumps.

You mark the midfield as we currently don’t have the players to make them really effective

I feel it is very likely to happen. Though it is good to check expectations. Someone is leaking hard, including the club, the agent is talking publicly about it and all. It might be to put pressure on the negotiations, or it might be as we are not scared of someone pushing ahead of us.

There has been one consistent thing this whole window, and previous windows too, when a deal goes this public and we are involved it's close. The press didn't print one single word about this as the ITKs were saying negotiations were on, they have been clearly going on for quite some time, this sudden media activity is not just out of the hype, but comes because we have allowed it to come to the press.
