Don't get why he's acting all superior. All he's really done is right the embarrassing wrong of getting bummed by a chubster

Boxing is also tactical. He was up against a very different sort of opponent as per first fight. He took no chances and.used that left jab to his advantage, and won. That's some mental strength too imo. Job done.

Anybody complaining about that performance is obviously a part-timer, and not even the good kind like @scat1620. It was a clinic, and probably one of the best heavyweight performances since Fury beat Klistchko (idc if that’s spelt incorrectly, he’s not a champ anymore and if he wants some I’ll give it him).

He was never in any danger of getting knocked out either. As somebody who has biffed up his fair share of travelling sloggers during his prolific childhood boxing days, I feel qualified to pass this opinion off as fact. Goodnight, and god bless.

Ruiz put on weight expecting to be able to make Joshua miss with the overhand right and then get on the inside and do big damage.

I’m pretty much instances Joshua didn’t take the bait, and instead put a solid jab in Ruiz’s face. Very good performance.

1st fight AJ caught Ruiz with a few very good shots and knocked him down clean. He then believed he could knock him out and went for it. This backfired in a big way and Ruiz knocked him down several times before winning.

AJ fought much smarter this time. He caught Ruiz with a lot of good shots that knock down many heavyweights. But fair play to Ruiz he is as hard as nails.

AJ had no need to knock him out as he outboxed Ruiz for the first 9 rounds. After that the pressure is on Ruiz to go for the knockout. AJ has no reason to engage in a brawl with a world class heavyweight who is over 50lbs heavier. Only a fool would do that and only fools think he should do that.

Winner. A few of the posters in this thread are like those casual football fans who suddenly turn up in major international tournaments and think they know everything.

AJ put in a great performance tonight.

Good for him but still got battered by a fat boy
That's how you beat a guy with a granite jaw and lightning hands...did you not watch the first fight?
Fair play to Ruiz, he took some shots that would stagger most heavyweights...barely even registered with him.
