In simple terms, please explain why Mark Hughes is a better manager than 'twichy' Redknapp.

I think hes go the potential to be a top manager

He has his team playing football the right way, on the floor passing, strong tackling in central midfield, balls often pushed out to the flanks and crosses put in for the strikers to gain some service from.

Everything we arent doing now

Just a second... Blackburn are 12 places ahead of us in 6th position, why would he want to leave behind his good work there and come to us???? Am I the only one thinking this????

looks like Archibald ITK more sense ..

First: They don't want Klinsmann now as he want's no take-over talks for 3 years while he is in charge .. that's mean D. Levy is looking to sell. May be making Comolli with less responsibilies is another demand which mean the German is every time for settled manmanagemnt team and bright future.

Second: They club are willing to pay huge compensation or money for continental name only likes Mourinho, Gullit, Ramos, Klinsmann ( not Hughes ) as this will secure larger
Assets in balanced sheet when they wants to sell up. They can't do that Hughes as he is british and not big name for any potenial invistor who couldn't heard about him or his work at Blackburn.

anyway .. we should replace MJ sooner rather than latter, 18th position with 7 pts in 10 games and this could creat relegation fears and pressure on inexperienced squad if we stayed a bit longer near bottom three .. and while attracking big names likes Mourinho, Lippi & good names like Redknapp or Hughes become harder than week 4 or 6 with our position, we shouldn't wait more and get Glenn Hoddle at least .. He is still available and i can't see him without job more than 1-2 months as he linked with Q.P.R, Norwich, Bolton recently .. so, let's give him a job and he could work better with likes of Berbatov, Defoe, Jenas, etc .. if we didn't replace MJ.. we will turn to likes Clive Allen ( new lees Reed? ) or Pardew or Jewell etc.. and the worst still could coming ...

i meant .. i believe this:

we want Hughes but wont pay the compensation

Gullit a possibility until end of season but really struggling.

they wont give in to Klinsmanns demands

you can see that more sense than the Scout if you read my first two pragraphs .. the third one is my own opinion about the best way for us

Have I missed something, has Jol gone yet?

No... oh well I await the silly season to come in January or when a vacancy arises

Hughes would instill some steal in the side......something we are badly missing. Get the team solid and then start playing football.....he has done very well at Blackburn and i would welcome here in an instant.

I wouldnt turn my nose up at Hughes coming. He's doing a great job with Blackburn, they have lost once this year whereas we have won once. They are exactly what we aren't - hard to beat.

yeah but we have been 5th over the last two seasons. don't even know where blackburn finished. not saying he's a bad manager but i feel, a step down from jol.

To be honest he'd be appropriate at least in the context of the short term. The things we need to fix:

1) sorting out closing down long shots
2) much much better training on positioning, partnerships with the player next to you and SET PIECES
3) tell everyone to stop hoofing it and play it along the ground, play it simple if there's not a flashy option. Dawson and Robbo especially.

If we had a manager that did that, we'd be a really solid team. Our lack of concentration and coordination in defence costs us most of the goals we concede, and the hoofing upfield keeps the pressure on and prevents us building momentum. A manager like Mark Hughes has these factors practically as a trademark. I personally think he's one of the best non-superstar names we might be able to snag. And his strengths as a coach really match our weaknesses as a team.
