Love how this guy can take an opposing defender on when high up the pitch... Who needs Atal?
I wasn’t on SC when Kane/Dier/Alli/Winks were coming through, but I reckon I can confidently presume none of them had this much criticism or doubt surrounding them? For a player that has been given man of the match in 30% of his games I think it’s completely unfair? 5 Years ago Poch was lauded for using the club’s youth, why do some fans now want to sign another player instead when there’s a young, versatile player with proven potential trying become a starter?

Ha the reason Walker stormed was because he is a sprinter that can only really run the ball in straight lines
KWP has genuine dribbling skills and far more skill on the ball
Whether he will be as effective an overall player is going to come down to physique / robustness in the challenge defensively I guess
Walker was / is excellent at running back to recover a situation (sometime of his own making to be fair)
I believe it was Kaz Hirai that actually promised to eat his own pants off Harry Kane ever made it as a Premier league player....... And, to be fair, he wasn't the only one that thought he'd be shit.I wasn’t on SC when Kane/Dier/Alli/Winks were coming through, but I reckon I can confidently presume none of them had this much criticism or doubt surrounding them? Not me, but Kane had huge levels of doubt in this site, too slow, too immobile, too clumsy, etc.I wasn’t on SC when Kane/Dier/Alli/Winks were coming through, but I reckon I can confidently presume none of them had this much criticism or doubt surrounding them? One poster went as far to say that if Harry even made it in the premier league he’d eat his own underwear (the poster, not Harry).
It's his size that worries me. He is not stocky either. He is built like a winger.I wasn’t on SC when Kane/Dier/Alli/Winks were coming through, but I reckon I can confidently presume none of them had this much criticism or doubt surrounding them? I think the doubters thought he'd be exposed yesterday but he did well considering City clearly targeted his side and also considering how good Sterling is at the moment. Sissoko didn't offer much protection in the first half an hour and I only remember KWP making one mistake.

I had the same concerns about Trippier.
Wing-back is fine. Back 4 not so much.

The way he is now I agree with those that think he is more of a wing back. I haven't seen too many great tackles from him as a back.Judging him against Sterling only is not 100% fair but I haven't been impressed with his defensive work generally. Id prefer Foyth if only for his get stuck in nature (he gets stuck in a bit too much ) but I still would prefer it. We need a quality Right back that's all. I just prefer a tougher right back.
Games changed - can't think of too many top teams that have big hard tackling full backs, can you ? Game awareness and positioning are the key factors for a full back imo and he can only gain with experience.
