literally?
Mate, this is the internet, why are you taking any of this so serious? Yesterday I'm a bell for arguing, today I'm passive aggressive.Do you genuinely think this weird passive-aggressive cuckery is funny? What's going on in real life that's making you act like such a whiny fucker on here?
Would it be a good tactic to then release some PR saying that we have 'moved on' and are looking at Zaniolo or anyone else we've been linked to? Whilst informing GLC's agent that we actuallychaven't and just need to scare Betis. As is said every window... so many of the posters on this forum would be horrible businessmen.
'Just pay them what they want' is not a good tactic and certainly one we are in no position to just do.
"Betis are keen to get the deal done quickly, but only at the exact price of their choosing". They are of course fully entitled to put a high price on his head, but not budging from that is not conducive to a quick deal.
The key question remains: Is he actually worth the €75m they want? In this summer's market, that puts him among the (former) Ajax starlets that have moved. Does his profile really warrant a similar fee to those paid for de Jong and de Ligt?
Have I missed some announcement or information regarding Jan? Given his age it seems pretty obvious to me that in November or December he will agree a one year extension and that will continue to be the case until he and the club mutually decide he's done his time with us.
I still think we've had Toby for longer than we expected and that Sánchez was/is in fact viewed as his replacement. We also know that Poche has always wanted Dier's future to lie at CB. We obviously have differing views, but I don't think there's a necessity to look outside the club for Toby's successor.
Eriksen is extremely important to how we've played while we've had him. Would it be easier to directly replace him (at something approaching £100m one would assume) or to tweak our system (like Klopp tweaked Liverpool's when Coutinho went)?
What did you mean by "we may have a chance"?

Take the day off.
Literally looks like this one is going down to the wire which is really frustrating. Deadline day it is.

Prem clubs make a ridiculous amount of money now. The clubs at the bottom of the prem make more than Betis. Prem clubs don’t need to sell their best assets anymore for funds. It's like when we tried to buy Zaha. We're the only interested party but we can't get them to lower their absurdly high asking price, despite them being a smaller club than us in every sense.
I guess the main difference is that palace didn't want to sell Zaha, but betis seemed resigned to losing glc right from the start.
Ok buddy, if you say soThe fact I deleted that post within 5 seconds and you still saw it and replied says it all. You are on here 24/7 and it is affecting you. You've been arguing literally every day, for the most pointless things - and when there's nobody to argue with, you make a passive-aggressive comment inferring things nobody was saying so you can argue with a hypothetical viewpoint?
It's you that needs to take a day off, it honestly can't be good for your blood pressure.
I'd say they'd be lucky to get what we have supposedly offered (per BBC), circa £50m. I believe ITK (herc maybe) even placed the total value at £60m. He certainly isn't as sought after as Ndombele. He is a good age and one of the best performers in Spain last year, but so was (the slightly older) Sarabia and he went to PSG for under £20m.
I am surprised the deal didn't go straight through after Fekir signed. I'm pretty sure they took the buy option with the expectation to flip him. Even at £50m they cover the Fekir fee with the profit. They obviously think they can out-poker Levy. Saying they want a quick deal is a joke really.
The frustration comes with the situation. Push comes to shove I'd want Levy to just bite the bullet rather than leave us short/disappoint Poch, but at the same time that is playing into Betis' hands, and I don't want them mugging us off. I hope they just get together and thrash out a compromise soon.
Your mood does seem to swing more than Bale's 9 iron!Mate, this is the internet, why are you taking any of this so serious? Yesterday I'm a bell for arguing, today I'm passive aggressive.

Amazing what you can conjure sat behind a screen tbf. Never realized how many folks care though, so thank youYour mood does seem to swing more than Bale's 9 iron!
The disadvantage we have is our window closing before the rest of Europe. That leads me to think we will have to increase our bid a little bit. If we are say £20m apart then they may just feel there becomes less risk in taking their chances and trying to sell him to another European club. There would surely be interest from somebody for say £45m worst case scenario."Betis are keen to get the deal done quickly, but only at the exact price of their choosing". They are of course fully entitled to put a high price on his head, but not budging from that is not conducive to a quick deal.
