The ultimate "up yours" would be for him to come back home to Spurs where he's truly adored and win a pile of trophies whilst trampling over RM several times in the process.

[Pederol] The Chinese offer is cooled by Bale. Your goodbye is delayed. In addition, Zidane will clarify in the next hours what he said about the Welshman

I had a feeling that Zidane may have said what he said to try to put pressure on Bale to take one of the Chinese offers. I just don't see him making that decision though. You retire in China and the US. You don't play a large portion of you prime years there. I still think for a deal to be made it needs to check two boxes, which are location and money and no way he wants to go to China. The question is would he give up a little bit to play somewhere that he does want to play, and will RM give up on the idea of a significant fee.

I agreed with along the lines of what A&C said, you want to leave it late in the window to put pressure on Madrid to have to play ball and pay up the majority of the wages. He needs to be turning up to training and pissing Zidane off with his presence until they give in.

It is so very messy now, its embarrassing. Zidane did himself and the club no favors. This needs sorting out now, Bale could stick to his guns but Footballers careers are short so it needs to be done with.

Zidane's temper which he couldn't control as a player is showing again and Madrid will need to tread carefully as I wouldn't put it past him to walk again, supposedly promised Bale wouldn't be here and Bale and his agent need to play their cards right and take advantage imo, China is not that.

Source ‘close to Bale’ suggesting it would take a huge offer for him to leave Madrid. One that would make him the best paid player in the world!

“Gareth Bale needs wages on par with the world's top players to leave Real Madrid, a source close to the Welshman has told Sky Sports News.

The 30-year-old forward currently earns £550,000-a-week at the Bernabeu, where he has a contract until 2022.

However, a source has told Sky Sports News that it would "take something very huge and special" for Bale to be tempted away from Madrid, possibly an offer that would "come close to making him the highest-paid player in the world".

That’s def not us
AND this clearly opens the pathway for him to move on to China. Team Bale can simply say, the money, rumoured £1m pw(?!) was incredible too good to turn down. Simple motivation. No need to save face leaving Europe behind.

He's digging his heels in in response to Zidane's and Madrid's pressure to leave as he doesn't want to be forced to China. He's basically sending a message out that 'I'm not going on your terms, you owe me, so you need to find a financial solution not me'. It looks like it's directed at other clubs but it's really for Madrid to understand he ain't getting off their wage salary easily and they will have to pay him off.

Interesting development as Barnett finally broke rank and said he was working on an exit yesterday. I think he's playing the ultimate game of poker and has them on strings to be honest. Zidane is not a worthy opponent it seems.

I'd love to think they want to facilitate a move to us but I think that's just me being romantic.
