Hasn’t it been stated several times that the loan request is because he doesn’t want his current management benefitting from a permanent transfer.

Ally's rag's take on the situation.
Did we not make them bid 12m more?
Astonishes me how people can't tell the difference between an article with its own information and an article rounding up what others have said. Happens all the time on here and a certain social media website."Here are the latest transfer rumours from around Europe."
If they dont link us to Matteo Pessina, I really dont care. Don’t know anything about him but god damnt, do I want him on our squad"Here are the latest transfer rumours from around Europe."
One of the local Sevilla papers that writes a ton of stuff along with EstadioDeportivo and neither of which seem very reliable. Some very key points missed here:-
1) who da fook is Eldesmarque?
2) as if notoriously cash strapped Arsenal would spend their entire reported budget on a player that is keen not to permanent transfer this summer for multiple reasons.
It's hard to give up on a dream. That's the problem - his heart clearly lies in Madrid. I suspect he might be quite keen on us, but only as a stepping stone. Even if he were convinced by the project and signed on a permanent deal he'd no doubt be angling for a move back to Madrid as soon as he had a good season. Madrid would no doubt make us include a reasonable buy back clause so he'd be hard to hang on to if he pushed to leave.
Weirdly, the only way I can imagine him making it at Spurs long term would be if he never lived up to his Madrid potential and just settled as a useful squad player, knowing they don't want him back.
It feels like we've been linked to tons of these upcoming Madrid midfielders over the years and none of them ever seem to come off. Probably for this exact reason.
6 years seems to be a bit long to spend on a ‘stepping stone’. Get real come on ... one of the best over the six years....It's hard to give up on a dream.
Did you mean to quote my post as your response doesn't make sense to me?6 years seems to be a bit long to spend on a ‘stepping stone’. Get real come on ... one of the best over the six years....
I thought there would have been a bit more clarity on this by now or at least some further information on whether just a pure loan is the only option regarding him or whether we're still very interested if that's the case or not.
I still think this one is tied to any Eriksen deal.
Yeah you may be right. I gather we would want to bring in Lo Celso regardless, but won't get him and Ceballos if we don't shift Eriksen too. At least we are still most likely frontrunners for any potential deal. When I read that Arsenal may have interest I thought they would go all out for him. Due to their limited transfer budget I thought they'd be desperate to do such a deal, even if it was strictly a loan. They need all the help they can get.
Maybe that’s why we want zaniolo
