This is the signing I really want.

But then I remember that I was amazingly excited about Capoue after watching his videos.

To be fair Capoue was showing signs of some really good form before he injured his ankle against arsenal , he just seemed never to revcover from it for us afterwards. Done alright at Watford too

To be fair, coming from Dan KP and Ally G, that just means Spurs believe that all parties are confident. :ROFLMAO:
This article was not written by Dan KP. It was written by another Journo there and I am pretty sure is just a news roundup with a few tiny bits Dan KP may have given as points of clarification.

Read the article - the bit we’re talking about is Dan KP’s info.

'Here's what we know so far courtesy of Dan Kilpatrick...'

We want to buy Ndombele, Aulas has said he will go when they replace him, a replacement is having a medical on Monday so ... nope it's no good I just can't see a link, I'm sure there must be one by it's got me beat.

I hadn’t seen the medical as being Monday. If that’s the case it might get wrapped up next week ??

If we’re making a fair comparison to Dembele it’d be a lie to say he’s as good at dribbling. He resembles a slightly more in control Sissoko where it looks like chaos but ends up working, Dembele looked like he was playing against children with his close control

I know we’re set on him being the perfect signing, and in many ways he is, but that doesn’t make him the perfect player. While everything after it seems really smooth and creative, his first touch is pretty inconsistent. He’s generally better than Sissoko and his worst days will be better than Sissoko’s worst, but his bad performances are going to look a lot like Sissoko’s and it’ll no doubt frustrate a lot of people. He’ll need to tidy up his touches for his creative flourish and vision to thrive on a weekly basis in the PL.

Again, he’s a near perfect signing imo and I will be thrilled if it gets over the line, but there’s still work to be done on his game before he reaches Dembele vs Juve heights.

Juve first leg was some of the best football I've seen as a spurs fan. Dembele and Eriksen were unplayable.

I sometimes wonder if clubs make agreements to back off of each other's transfer targets. If that's ever the case it could explain why we might be confident on this one when nothing much seems to be happening.

I've seen multiple reports state that he prefers us to Juventus and Man Utd, who are currently the only other teams that were strongly in for him. Makes sense in that case for them to move on. Other clubs (Madrid/City) seemed to want him as a plan C at best and it seems PSG are looking elsewhere.

Lyon seems to be closing in on Jean Lucas, who is rumoured to be his replacement.

I am hopeful we get this across the line soon. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday.
Aulas said he wanted the transfer concluded before the end of June so that it could be included in this year’s accounts. Admittedly this was mentioned early on in the thread, but it still seems to be holding true.
