Agree with that, but he may become as good. We don't know yet.
Saw the first half hilights and it appear lo Celso was involved in nearly every decent opportunity. Yes please.
Impressive display. Although it was a weak opponent, Nicaragua had a good pressing game going on, and Argentina had difficulty breaking them down until the end of the first half.Has now moved to the middle and helped set up the 5th goal from deep inside his own half.
Pretty skillful with either foot. Enjoyable to watch

Lo Celso and Messi, obviously, were the bright sparks. Lo Celso was playing as an AM/Wing Forward first half. Played on both flanks. Great link up play, especially with Messi. Was instrumental in providing assists and build up for both first half goals, and the last goal when he was in CM. Very creative, incisive and attacking with his passing.
Second half took on the role of a deeper CM pulling the strings in midfield - also very comfortable in that role. Showed his vision with a nice range of long/short passing. Also showed he was the most press-resistant player in that defence/midfield. Great awareness and decision-making; don't think he coughed up the ball once, which others around him did as Nicaragua's press was the strongest feature of their game.
The game allowed him to showcase his talent and versatility. Very impressed. Player of the game imo.
Ha! Interesting point. That motm phrase, which I'd normally use, didn't even cross my mind till after I posted, and saw it and thought the same as you. Think it was because it was a friendly game, so many subs, Messi, Aguero off at HT.Really useful, thanks. Also a good effort on your part to rename the ‘man of the match’ Award

We have probably already agreed a price. Just trying to bring in a replacement first.
Pretty good. Drove forward a few times which helped Argentina get a different look in attack, solid in defence in general. But he had one negative Foyth moment when he lost possession in his own half and was muscled off the ball. How did Foyth perform?
They’re different players but lo celso is better as he’s what we need technically. Fernandes could easily be another Paulinho.Saw Fernandes live end of last year and he did not stand out. This was against the team who were bottom of the league at the time.
Lo Celso is far the better option for what we need.
I’d prefer Lo Celso every time but Fernandes is nothing like Paulinho, he’s an excellent dribbler in tight spaces with fantastic technique, quick feet and quicker thought. They’re different players but lo celso is better as he’s what we need technically. Fernandes could easily be another Paulinho.
I always got the impression that whenever Paulinho was playing, he was secretly listening to Leonard CohenThey’re different players but lo celso is better as he’s what we need technically. Fernandes could easily be another Paulinho.
I'm not sure. Eriksen said in the interview that he didn't think Real had been in touch yet. He could be lying, but he'd know if a fee had been agreed wouldn't he?
It’s the start of June and I find myself desperate for us to sign N’Dombele, Sessegnon and Lo Celso... it’s going to be such a long summer
Goals here. He’s involved in the first two

That was tongue in cheek wasn’t it Eli?
If we sell them. They were for sale last year as well. Nobody wanted them at the price.which will be closer to 150m, still some 50m short of 200m. we should get approaching 130m for outgoings
Definitely ‘Ch’ if Italian as it’s an ‘E’ following a ‘C’. If Spanish it would just be a ‘K’ sound, though sometimes a ‘C’ can make a ‘th’ sound of more central in a word (e.g. Murcia, Albacete). The commentary kept pronouncing it Lo Chelso is that right I thought it was Lo Selso?
