No, it WILL be Moura but I don't think it should be.

Agreed. Moura has played better than Son or Alli recently. If not off-form Alli gives us something completely different so Son should be the one to make way.

I would personally put Son or Alli on the bench based on previous games. They were a while ago however so both you be better now than they were at the end of the PL season. Think it's really unfair towards Moura, I think he was our best attacker at the end of the season.

I really don't think it's a clear cut 'if Harry's fit, he starts' narrative as history tells us he's very slow to come to terms with match speed and his desired work rate has been questionable when introduced early from injury.

That's not me slating him or saying we are a better outfit without him because of course that's false and quite clearly this is an exceptional circumstance that is difficult to say how it will pan out for both sides on a fitness front and just how players cope with the pressure of playing in the biggest club game of their lives.

Kane will have a massive part to play in this final - that much is certain.

Seen lots of people say this, but is it actually true? I know he seemed a bit sluggish end of last season and played a weird role for England at the World Cup, but otherwise, I'm not sure that's actually true. At least my memory doesn't paint that picture.

Exactly. As tough as it may be on Son or Lucas, one of them has to make way for him if he's fit and raring to go. Poch knows this, we know this, its football.

Might not be a popular opinion but I'd drop Alli rather than either Son or Lucas :censored:

This is the key question - is he being introduced early from injury or with the 3 week gap is he actually now close to full fitness - I suspect he would have been playing some role in the league by now if it had still being going on

The thing is - no one has played for a while if you think about it... its been what? three weeks that no one has played football and even a game of football.. so wouldnt he be in the same boat as everyone else?

So you can argue all 22 players on that pitch will be lacking match sharpness and 'fitness'

I think the injuries have really taken their toll. He has lost his ability to get up for headers. In the past he would soar above defenders to flick the ball on. This season, he has consistently backed in and fallen to the ground under defenders, seemingly trying to win free kicks rather than jump. I don't think he is confident in putting pressure on his ankles or he just is unable to.
He has had his fair share of goals this season, but his ratio of goals to shots must be well down on previous seasons and he hasn't been anywhere as effective in winning aerial battles and in his hold-up play. I am not slagging him off, I just think he has come back too soon after nasty injuries and not allowed them to heal properly or build up strength. Presumably he will figure in the upcoming England games - I would much rather him take the summer off and get properly fit for next season.

It's only 2 games, so he'll still get the same length of time off as normal

Injuries or not, he offered very little for much of the season. I think he’s bulked up entirely too much. He’s not that mobile, deadly, creative striker that can get it done by himself anymore.

It’s a mixture of the WC year and injuries. He’s never been close to 95% (Very few PL players are ever 100%). He just needs a proper summer off after the England games and then a proper preseason.

Tbh I don’t think he was much worse than anyone else on the pitch, most were awful on both sides. But I don’t think he does heat well. Was very similar to his WC performances. Was he record in August the hottest month a coincidence?

Second England game is on 9th June, first preseason game is on 21st July. That's only 5/6 weeks, and we'll probably start preseason training a week or two before that.

I'm a bit worried that once again Harry's not going to get a long enough break.

He's had two months off twice this season, I imagine hes fucking sick of having a break

Clearly needs a break this summer and thankfully with no major international tournament he will get one.

Looks about as mobile as Llorente atm.
