I hope your answer isn't Dybala.

I don’t think Dybala and Dele can play at the same time
Dybala is a versatile player, so he would provide competition for any of our attacking players, not just Dele. I'm sure we could develop a system to accommodate both players, whether it be having one of them play out wide in an attacking midfield 3 (Dybala has done this often) or use our midfield diamond where either player could play up front, at the #10, or as a creative outlet from center midfield.

I imagine Dybala's wages are way higher though.
Across reports I've seen his wages could be as low as £95k p/w and as high as £120k p/w - so he should theoretically fit into our wage system.

I know signing Dybala is extremely unlikely. As much as I would love to sign him, my intent was to more point out that if we are bidding the reported figure for Lo Celso, we aren't far away from real superstar price territory (this is the Lo Celso thread after all). Dybala didn't have a great season, hence why he's at a lower valuation and some aren't rating him over Lo Celso, but I think the guy has proven he is a complete superstar over the last few seasons (remember his game against us in the CL last season?). Dybala is the type of player you build around IMO, and I think Juve building around Ronaldo and using a 433 has limited Dybala's impact.

I'd love Lo Celso and I think he's a star in the making (who knows, maybe he'll end up better than Dybala) but if we were to lose a star like Eriksen, at the moment we probably couldn't get a much bigger replacement (in terms of both ability and stardom) at the prime of their career than Dybala.

We need to find a way to get players to kick off in order to join us like Berbatov, Modric, Bale etc did when they wanted to take a step up. Winning the CL tonight would be a good place to start.
No. No. No. We have standards

So disappointing the early penalty killed but had we played to our level we could have come back. Wish Poch had be braver earlier as they were there for the taking..

Everyone criticised me but yet again and I know it’s not the topic but Eriksen - not good enough. Apparently he has record assists this season and has a 9 inch cock so we should let him off?

He was a key part of a CL finalist team, open your eyes a bit more

Go to bed and don't make a fool of yourself with knee-jerk reactions mate.

I agree. I think we're likely looking at Lo Celso as the direct replacement for Eriksen and probably having Lamela operating in a similar role moving forward (if he stays). Would then allow for a guy like Bergwijn (?) to come in and provide depth on the wings as Lamela moves more central. Offers more balance within the squad, takes Lamela more central where I believe he's better suited now and gives us more pace in attack. This is how I'd hope it would play out if we did have to lose Eriksen.
We need to move Lamela on now, Wanyama too. We need to freshen up the squad with younger less injury prone legs.

Key part? Tell me more? The only key part he played was a goal against inter Milan at Wembley? He is so average !!!!!
Just because he doesn’t score 20 goals a game doesn’t mean he’s not contributed

Now or never.

Incredibly poor performance.

My apologies, my post looks really horrible and negative, I posted whilst upset and drunk.

What I was trying to say was that these are the type of signings that we really must now try and do to progress.

I know they’ll be expensive and difficult but this squad really needs some more quality. :)

I see in Twitter that Betis fans are resigned to losing Lo Celso this summer. But most hold a view that Betis should wait to sell till Copa America is done. He is part of the Argentina squad and very much in XI nowadays. If he has good tournament they see his value getting inflated to 100m with more clubs interested.

IMO, we got to get this done before Copa America starts on 16 June. Highly optimistic I know, but we got to do it. Argentina are playing fucking Qatar in their group and tournament goes on till 1st week of July. If he is the one to replace Eriksen, we better get it done sooner rather than later.

I wager that is our goal judging by our moves thus far. The goal for us is to get him under his release clause before a team with the cash on hand to pay it outright (and that not hinder the rest of their window like it would ours) comes in. Even if we have a magical sizeable transfer kitty we're still going to want to stagger payments.

Agreed. About time we actually had a few in for pre season as well. We need most of our business done by early July. We’ve got a month now so let’s get on with it. If we want to win the league, then there’s no room for farting around, leaving everything to the last week and having a team that is not on the same wavelength for a couple of months with unfit signings.
