Some seem to be struggling with that, ta.Agree with you, but think Gb is saying we lost 2-0 rather than just that penalty.

UEFA's rules say that if the ball hits your arm and its in a unnatural position then it's a pen, can't see why there's a debate?
It's not UEFA or IFAB or FIFA rules that have come into play - it's specific instruction given to referees in how to apply the laws around handball. They've been told to penalise handball regardless of whether it's deliberate or not and have instituted the quite simply ludicrous idea of a 'body silhouette' to make the determination.Same here. Unless UEFA have their own rule book but can’t seem to find it.
Because it hit the chest first & ricocheted on to his upper arm.
Oh and I forgot to say - massive shout for Harry Winks, considering he’s been out and not played competitively for several weeks, I thought he was outstanding and bossed the middle. Fantastic player and hopefully he can go the whole of next season injury free and show the world that he’s one of the best as I really think he’s up there.
I’m pretty sure Mane aimed for Sissoko’s arm. There’s no Liverpool player in sight of that pass!

The IFAB rules consider handball to be a 'subjective consideration'. More evidence that the officials have dived headlong into a rabbit hole that leads to utter chaos.
With handball being 'subjective', officials have been instructed, I would imagine in an effort to reduce the 'subjectivity', to penalise by default. Cack-handed and stupid, but there it is.
So, in summary, it's not the official sanctioned rules that have been implemented when it came to Sissoko's handball, but rather a specific instruction given to officials, based on the 'subjective consideration', which last night the ref imposed, as he has been instructed to.
Truth is it was Sissokos fault we lost the game.
Precisely. It's what makes it so ludicrous and cuts right to the heart of the matter when it comes to officiating - the lack of accountability. My own position is that I think referees must be held accountable. If they are now a professional body, then there should be the appropriate level of transparency and accountability that applies to any kind of official body. This is where the friction is between the fans and the game. It isn't reasonable, in my mind, for those who provide an important revenue stream to be left with no voice in matters related to the game and with no accountability processes in place. The kind of instruction that may or not be applied depending on which team it might favour
But this is no penalty?
Which is still handball.
Mane aimed for his arm which makes him a smart but rank little fucker.
Belter of a post that one.Shut up you melt.
It really wasn't. Sissoko made one "mistake" during the whole game. How many chances to score were ruined by our attackers making mistakes?Truth is it was Sissokos fault we lost the game.
