If he gets a chance and scores it's the right decision. Didn't he score a few after coming back earlier this season? It didn't work out today, but I can't knock Poch for picking him.

That's why I said in hindsight it was the wrong decision

Difference between Liverpool and ourselves is investment in the team over past 2 years.
Liverpool. 17/18 season Van Dijk, Salah, the Ox, Robertson, Solanke. = £ 156 mil 18/19 season Alisson, Keita, Fabinho, Shaqiri. £ 196 mil
total spend over the past two seasons £ 352 mil

I can't help but feel the experience of a champions league final can only help us. We just have to be bold in the transfer window and get some deals done early. Its the only way to move forward from this. Otherwise we will start to feel this is the best we can do and players will think about leaving.
let's hope so. I think if the squad gets rested up, we bring in some big players and the message is very much "let's win it" then we'll be there or there abouts.

Such a shame as Liverpool were there for the taking tonight.

The difference tonight was a questionable penalty and a last minute goal from Origi

No one, and I mean no one, will ever be able to take the Moura goal moment away from me. Thank you spurs for giving us that moment to celebrate like we've never celebrated before.

The timewasting was crazy. From the second minute. We probably lost a good twenty minutes of the game to it.

On train home, Liverpool were there for the taking and we didn't have the guile in the final 3rd to take advantage. A massive chance wasted

Fucking hell the trolls are strong. Even had a couple of Arsenal and West Ham fans chirp up, which helpfully lightened my mood. ???

We had the opportunities but pretty much everyone was overthinking it. Second half was scuff central from players who can hit screamers.

Kane was very poor and people can argue in hindsight that Moura or Llorente should have started. Yet Winks who has also been out for a chunk of time was very good. Whereas Alli has been back for a good while now and has been poor for a good 2-3 months.

Playing Eriksen, Alli, Son, Kane ‘used’ to terrify other sides but they’re now all too predictable and the game has evolved whereas we’ve regressed. Without 2 marauding full backs in Rose (pre injury) and Walker we’ve become completely one dimensional.

Thanks to all on Spurscommunity; it's been a great journey this season and I'm glad I spent it with you.

You win some, you lose some, but we continue to grow and develop.

Rest up, sign some players and go again next season.

COYS!!!

So, walking away from the pub after full time. Have my 15 year old with me ... he is as down as me. Then four pool supporters walk up and take the piss. Would you a) deck the biggest fucker of them all or b) just walk away and comfort your kid. Answers on a post card.

In reaching a champions league final we have over achieved.

I assume we can all agree on that because not one person I know thought we would get here....not one.

You can not describe overachieving as “failure”, or are you saying yes we overachieved surpassing all reasonable expectations but not by enough, because that’s equally ridiculous

We got to the final, so what, means fuckall if you don't win it!! Just another 'glorious' failure!!

Being 20 years old, i havent seen a trophy since i was 10 years old. However, this team we have built is why i love football. Yes... we didnt get the break today, but this side (plus additions this summer) is one to keep challenging for these trophies and lets hope we can pick it up in the coming years to break this long spell.

We wouldn’t have scored in a month of Sunday’s. Liverpool didn’t have to be great, they played within themselves, defended excellently and deservedly won. They’ve a very strong squad with depth and quality all over the place. We’ve got numbers but very little in terms of game changes of the quality that’s needed to topple a side like Liverpool.
