In hindsight you certainly don't play Harry Kane, Klopp got it right but taking "Bobby" off.
But all our attackers looked really poor apart from son really

Strange game, pretty damn boring and low quality for the neutral I imagine.

Alli and Eriksen are like our Ozils. Look good when playing well, but can be passengers when the chips and flicks don't come off. They have more talent than the likes of Henderson and Milner, but their running and closing sets the tone for Liverpool.

I love Eriksen and he and alli offer flashes of brilliance but we need a more consistent performer in there to play along side one or the other.

I was thinking the stars were really aligning for us until they aligned better for the scummy dippers with a penalty for them in the first minute. The ref just wrecked what could be a great final..

But somehow the match time passed really quickly for a boring match. Am I the only one feeling that? Is like playing FIFA with 30minutes setting. Even halftime seemed double quick timed.

It's been a very odd season. We've been poor most of this year and somehow we finished top four and got to the final of the Champion's League!

This team has run out of steam though. It's clear it will never push on from here and it needs investment to go any further.

There will be a fairly large overhaul this summer. I don’t think this group can improve any further, we need some fresh blood and to move on some deadwood.

I'm saying that to say the ref cost us the game is fucking victim mentality and fucking pathetic, i'm also saying your notion of the entire game plan going out the window is fucking moronic because the objective of the plan would have still be the same, to get a goal. Yes it has an effect mentally but we weathered the storm and they were fucking shit and we played fucking poor, we didn't need to panic about being a goal down until late on.
Liverpool’s plan went out the window. They turned into a Pulis team but with good players. Fucking hard to break down

The pen... yes it was a pen. But if the rules are saying that any contact with hand/arm is a pen, then they would also look into players seeking that. If a player is on the ground with arms wide and someone plays the ball onto his arm on purpose, that is just as bad as simulating. Mane was playing the ball with intent of getting a pen.
I'd be amazed of teams dont pick up on this next season, get in the box and go for the arm. Its easy to win a pen if thats where we are heading.
It was a pen for me. Standing with his arm in the air. Why he was like that I'd love to know.
Still its been a fantastic season.
Top 4, got to cl final, we're back at nwhl next season and in cl.
Not too shabby.

Dele needs to think about how much he wants to kick on to elite level. At times his technical understanding is genuinely woeful. I like him but he has to develop or he could move on next year without too much regret on our part

Yeah I appreciate that but let's be honest, champions league final, they were always going to make mistakes and be desperate if we applied any remote pressure on their goal but we didn't, we had 88 minutes to make that happen, can people really blame the referee as the reason we lost that game.

Proud of how far we went but also left wondering what might have been. Too many of our attacking players Eriksen, Son, Alli, and Kane lacked composure when it really mattered that was the difference. I thought before the game that it was a mistake to start with Kane, he should have been brought on with 30 mins to go, we will never know whether Moura would have done a better job had he started, based on what we saw on the first 60 minutes, his composure surely couldn't have been worse than the aforementioned but he earned his place in the team with that remarkable Hat-trick and wasn't rewarded for his efforts. I thought Winks was probably our best player.

Idk about anyone else but I don't really feel sad, I feel more proud and looking forward to the summer, signing some good names and then go again next season. We're gonna be even better.

Nah mate, I'm gutted, but Liverpool lost in the final last season and come again so why can't we?

Ha....that won’t happen again.

Liverpool spent £70m on a goalkeeper. We haven’t signed anyone for 2 windows.

Totally different levels of ambition. And I think Klopp is a winner. What has Poch ever won?

We are all disappointed, so let’s have a good summer transfer window and do a Liverpool from last season, go to the next level.

One thing that kept annoying me was the talk that we're probably in our only CL final ever. Yeah, we've never been there, but we're clearly going up. New stadium, great coach, some core players (Kane, Dele, Son, Winks) have not yet reached their peak years.

Yeah, Barcas, Juves and Reals of the world will come back stronger in the next seasons, but if we keep making progress, we will reach this stage again. Let's hope the '20s will bring us that glorious silver cup.

Come On You Spurs.

I don't think the starting 11 was wrong but Poch was too scared to take any of his favourites off in Eriksen, Dele, Kane when Winks was by far our best midfielder. I have no problems with the risks he took with the starting 11 but that first sub was fucking terrible.

I'm surprised at how many say he's good technically, I think his technical ability is pretty poor. He's one of those players where if the ball comes to him for him to shoot you just don't think he'll strike the ball cleanly.

Would have been nice to have seen Lamela come on and try to knit some of the attacking play together to be honest.
