--------------Lloris----------
Trippier Toby Jan Rose
Sissoko Winks Eriksen
Moura----Alli-----Son

Get Moura and Son pushing wide when we're defending, in attack they both swoop in and Alli vacates the centre. See the second leg city game, second goal for ref.

Kane on the bench and on at half time for whomever hadn't shown up. This means we can run them first half and then throw on a finisher.

Kane may have 90 minutes in him, but if this goes to ET then we'll need those minutes to get him to penalties.

I think we only once started with all Son, Lucas and Kane at front. And honestly I don't believe Mauricio will do this again in such a important game. He will want to go with proven setup. But on the other hand it would be sooooo hard to put Lucas on the bench after semi final hattrick. Also, we all know that if Son is fit he starts. Eriksen and Alli are undropable IMHO. I'm very curious how Poch will figure this out. Of course, if Kane won't start it's no brainer. But lots of signs that he will. My prediction:

Lloris
Trippier - Toby - Jan - Rose
Sissoko - Wanyama
Eriksen - Alli - Son
Kane

Agree with almost everything you said except I think playing Wanayama in the middle is a recipe for disaster. He struggled massively against Ajax's quick press and Liverpool's press is even more intense. Has to be Winks because at least he can release the ball quickly.

I prefer Winks as well but because he hasn't played for a while I think Poch will chose Wanyama as he has some much fitnes. I know Kane also hasn't played for 2 months but it's Kane, it's a different story.

my guess:
lloris
trippier alderweireld vertonghen rose
sissoko winks
eriksen dele son
kane

I think this is the most likely team, but still feels very harsh to drop Moura. Kane is undroppable when fit.

First Half need an energetic team, that can also switch formations quickly and comfortably if Klopp tries something left field.

Son and Rose need to give TAA a horrible night, stay wide and double up.

Main threat coming down the right with sissoko bypassing their press with driving runs, simple side passes to Eriksen/Moura.

Dele not having much of the ball but being an absolute menace to matip, drag him all over the shop.

Then just need to find that ball to Moura, isolate VVD and destroy his reputation in 45 mins.

1-0

-------------Lloris-------------
Trips--Toby--Verts--Rose
------Sissoko--Winks------
--Moura--Eriksen--Son--
--------------Dele-------------

Second half is all about Kane reminding the world just how good he is.

2-1 very late goal from Harry

But Klopp would be thinking that perhaps and preparing his team for that - so we may well need something different...

The double bluff!! Dangerous mindset to get into although thats why Poch has worked on multiple systems to adapt in game

Poch said himself if Spurs win he's made a good decision regarding the line up, if Spurs lose then he's messed up.

Haha why do people think we're going to try formations or players in certain positions for the first time in what is arguably the biggest game in our history?

Poch does has a history of doing such a thing.

Madrid away, Chelsea semi final...

Kane off the bench and numbers in midfield for me with Eriksen our key man getting on the ball;

Lloris

Trippier Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose

Winks
Sissoko Eriksen

Moura Son Alli

Do not want.

Never ever play a back 3 against a front 3, especially one as mobile and effective as Liverpool's.
I think we started with a back 3 against Liverpool in our last game and they completely outplayed us in the first half. It was only when we went to 4 at the back in the second half that we got back into the game and almost won.

However we also played 3 at the back when we absolutely mauled them 4-1, and they destroyed us at Wembley when we played the diamond so I'm not sure what to think.

In general we've looked pretty bad when playing 3 at the back this season so I really hope Poch doesn't try it, but it's strange that it worked so well for us in the past with the same personnel.

I'd go

Lloris
Trippier/Aurier Toby Jan Rose
Sissoko Winks
Lucas Eriksen Son
Kane

The pace of Lucas and Son would help to pin back their fullbacks and Eriksen could drop deep when required but would also have more freedom to get in goalscoring positions. Would mean dropping Dele but he's been v.hit or miss this season and would a great option off the bench along with Lamela.

Played Son LWB against Chelsea because Rose was injured and he wanted to match the speed of Moses on the counter.

That one still gives me PTSD flashbacks. I maintain we would've won that match if Poch hadn't tried to go maverick and just picked played Son in his normal position.
