From the Sunderland thread

2nd guy gets it. Most of them don't. Jenas is one the few commentators who doesn't seem bias, has a clue what's going on and doesn't sound like a twat.

He comes across as bias to me, he needs more reps as a co commentator.

It would explain why we let in 2 goals in the first half. We just wanted the challenge of 3 goals in 45mins.

I'm not suggesting we made it our game plan. I'm suggesting that when we found ourselves 3 nil down they were able to take inspiration from what Liverpool did to pick themselves back up

Had a peek on an Inter forum out of curiosity. Some of them are really hate us for some reason:

"Spurs are a disgusting club. We should be ashamed for being a mere catalyst for their way to the final. No, we wouldn't do better out of groups, we would've been knocked out by Dortmund. But that's not the point.

Thing is, they are a disgusting club, and we are at fault for this great disaster in football history.

As for the final, fuck it. It's not worth watching it.

But if spurs win, don't even watch football ever after. It would be the end of the Football World."

"This is the longest streak of not celebrating any trophy for either finalist. Tottenham last won a trophy in 2008, Liverpool last won a trophy in 2012. That's 18 years combined. I cannot find anything longer. Leverkusen's streak was like 8-9 yeras before they reached the 2002 final which was probably the longest streak before this one.

Such a let down. Ajax in the final, especially vs Barcelona, would have been historic. This is just a bad parenthesis."

They're probably just salty cos we knocked 'em out but I don't get why some people are so keen for these "historic" clubs to reach the final. Ajax would've been a great story, sure, but it's a bit fucking boring if the same teams who are part of a select group of "elite" clubs always win.

Should've let Lazio win last year so they would be at fault.

Now back to work, lose the rest of three games and do no more damage to football next year.

What the hell have Inter got against us?

This post from KUMB sums up their despair nicely:

"Were we all nazi's in our past lives?"

No mate. Just this one :meh:.

I keep seeing posts like this on KUMB and ArseMania - and I really want to create an account just to post the “Are we the baddies” clip.

I wouldn't discount the possibility - or probability - of antisemitism playing a big part in these attitudes to our club.

Taxi for maicon maybe? Gareth bale basically single handedly ended that guys career at the top level. Either that or they're some of those weird England based fans of a foreign club, which seems more likely given the standard of their English.
Jesus, if that’s it they need to get a grip. “Disgusting club” for coming back to 4-3 the beating you 3-1?? Christ we’ve had our arses handed to us by Newcastle a few times and I don’t hate them.

We didn't knock them out, they failed to win their easiest group game. They deserved to go out.

Reading RAWK is interesting. We are all on cloud nine just to get there now, I’m looking forward to it come what may, the journey has been incredible.

To a man they absolutely hated us winning last night. Instead of a final against a team that plays pretty triangles in passing but who clearly have an inexperience and soft underbelly, they know they are in for a war on all fronts now.

I shouldn't give a fuck but it really shows the gulf in class.

If they visited this site after their result on Tuesday night, they'd have seen pretty much unanimous praise for not just their result, but the manner in which they achieved it. Even during the game itself, it was nothing but praise & admiration for the speed of their play, the movement, the desire they all had.

Many were even saying they'll deserve to win the CL, and their performances & consistency deserves something.

Fast forward 24 hours & look at them in comparison.
