How on earth does worrying about the state of our club on a message board hold us back as a club? What nonsense.

What I want to know is why is our manager doing a far ranging in depth reveal all interview with a spanish paper on the eve of the biggest Spurs game in decades which says stuff like 'key players want to leave', 'I had an offer from Madrid but Levy wouldn't release me" "I had no chance to buy any players". You don't see Klopp doing that.

How on earth is there any upside to this sort of stuff? Stop burying your head in the sand about the very real risk of all of this unraveling really quickly. The new stadium, frankly the novelty has worn off already, we need new signings and top players, ambition in the transfer market, not penny pinching from Levy and our manager doing bizarre reveal all interviews before a huge game. It doesn't signal much cohesion behind the scenes.
You do realise that although the New Stadium novelty may have worn off for you already, just bear in mind that we haven't had the chance to have a transfer window since the stadium was open.

Levy may penny pinch again, he may surprise you, us? How about waiting until whenever it is in August before getting pissy.

Also I wouldn't read too much in to Pochs comments.

Do we know when he gave the interview?

Can I ask how every time there's an opportunity to be negative, you're all over it like a butchers dog on a bone. It's all I ever see. I get the impression it gives you such a massive hard on that you must surely pass out through loss of blood :D

Maybe because I had a big weekend and am still feeling the effects of moody Tuesday? ?

I’m ready to be positive when the opportunity presents itself don’t worry. Like new signings, putting in a great performance etc ?

Does it really matter who asked to leave last summer, can you honestly say that any player this season hasn't run themselves into the ground and giving all for the cause?

I'm yet to see Llorente break out into a mild jog this season, much less run.

It's really quite worrying reading.

Poch only stayed because he was contracted to stay? chances to sign players? none. Players wanting to leave? various.

When you look at the the amount of poor performances we've put in this season, it backs up our players not being fully focused/committed and momentum has undoubtedly been lost.

It's quite clear some of our key players no longer buy into the project here.

I'm sure some people will try and spin it positively, but how is any of that positive? Our manager hardly sounds that committed to the club, we have players who want out, and the boss had fuck all chances to sign any players he wanted.

Levy can sign up as many rugby games as he wants at the new stadium but until he gets back to concentrating on on the pitch stuff at Spurs, and starts spending some serious cash on players, it looks like this will all unravel.

if we lose Poch and don't back him properly this summer, we are fucked. Should never underestimate what a top coach does at a club, look at Klopp at Liverpool, look at United since Ferguson left.

We don’t know if it’s key players. If so, it would definitely suit the painful ness he spoke about last week.

Toby was absolutely one of them, linked to United all summer but United didn’t make their move, much to Mourinhos disgust.

I’d hazard a guess Eriksen is another, based on his refusal to sign a new contract.
Both key players.

Rose and Trippier probably wouldn’t be a surprise either. I don’t think anyone else stands out as being fairly likely to have asked to leave but Toby and Eriksen I think were definite

I believe Poch will honour his contract but if the said rumours about quitting turn out to be true then I say "thank you Poch and good luck for your future" I say that because it feels like we have the sword of Damocles hanging over our head with his future.
If he wants to stay he must say "I am not leaving and want to be here" if he does not want to stay then say so ;and lets put a stop to this will he won't he debate as its getting tiresome and will if it goes on much longer transmit to the players and our club as a whole namely players; management;fans can get out of this "feeling in limbo"

My mate just asked my why I think Poch has entered new territory with these latest comments and I speculated the following

Well , we've lost the last 5ish games , the players seem exhausted , the team he's built in 5 years has aged/want out , replacements essential . He's in a nasty spot even tho we reversed into next years CL .

He knows something big has to change ....or his reputation will go down with the inevitable downwards spiral of 2019-2020 results. He's freaked by the recent worst results of his reign . Alarmed at the Ajax match 1st 25mins where he couldn't motivate the players for a CL semi . .

Change ....or he's off to a plum job at one of the giants . He needs to partly rebuild again at Spurs now...so why not do it , backed properly , at PSG ?

Agree entirely, a point I've been making for a while and one that some Spurs fan struggle with. Poch isn't a Spurs fan he's a professional football manager and sooner or later Daniel won't support him and an offer from PSG/United/Real will be waiting. I just hope its not this summer but Levy has to change his MO or we lose Poch.

Perhaps he's not fussed, who knows?

thank you for saving me 5 mins putting the same reply even without certain aspects

even if we signed 5 class players some would find a reason they won't fit, and will be on their backs the minute they struggle

Literally a minute after winning the CL

Nobody:

Spurs fans: That's it reckon Poch is off now, he didn't seem happy during celebrations.

Danny Murphy showed more sense than all of us combined when he said, Poch is just trying to get across how big an achievement it would be in the circumstances he's had that it wouldn't be topped and there's no substance to the notion of him packing it in.
