Burnley have been excellent second half of the season, whilst Arsenal's away form has been shocking. Not to mention did you see how dejected they were after the game yesterday? Whatever the result on Thursday in Valencia I can't see themselves having enough to score a hatful away at Burnley.

A look at the form table shows us that Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd, from their last 4 results (so that's 16 matches), have collected 2 wins: our 1-0 win over Brighton and Chelsea's 3-0 win over Watford yesterday.

From 4 matches, Chelsea have 5 points, Spurs have 3 points, Arsenal have 1 point and Man Utd have 2 points.

That's an extraordinary collective collapse in form from four very good/expensive football teams: 11 points from 48 available @ 0.69 points/match. It corresponds to 26 points over a 38-match season.

In the same four-match spell, of course, Liverpool and Man City have collected 12 points each.
I do wonder how much of it is about being exhausted with having a world cup and getting so far in Europe for each team. It just shows how strong City and Liverpool are and how good the rest will need to be to catch up. Wolves, Everton and Leicester have done so well without juggling Europe too so we'll see how Wolves do with European football next season. Although without a summer tournament and a winter break coming teams playing in Europe may cope better next season.

Arsenal are below us in the table because they have been shittier than us this season, so why are we so worried that they will perform much more better than us (8 goal swing) when they are playing away (poor recent away record) and we are playing at home (against a side that has nothing to play for other than for pride)?

You’ve seen the dejected faces of the arsenal players after yesterday’s match and they know that it’s all over for them as far as top four league standings are concerned.

Arsenal have not kept a clean sheet away from home all season.
Burnley have only failed to score at home in three league games (Man U, Chelsea and Man C) this season.
If Arsenal want a 9 goal swing they'll need to score at least 6 at Burnley considering they will likely concede at least one themselves, whilst hoping we let in at least 4 with no reply.
Everton have only scored 3 goals away from home once this season (vs Cardiff).
In 18 away games Everton have won 5 and scored 22 goals, an average of 1.2 goals per game (they're actually worse away from home than Arsenal).

Whilst not impossible, an Arsenal away win coupled with both a Spurs home defeat and a 9 goal swing is incredibly unlikely.

With you until the end part, those last two words are what scare the shit out of any seasoned Spurs fans, it’s same reason I only start relaxing if we’re 3 goals up when there’s only two minutes left, we’ve all been traumatized over the years with those last two words, other than that a completely sensible post...

If Woolich can overturn 8 goals deficit on the last day, Spurs will cease to exist and go into administration. Levy and Lewis will declare bankruptcy, our new shiny stadium will turn into a derelict site and I will become a Notts County fan !!!!!!!!!!!

The joke of the 8 goal swing is that Arsenal won’t even win. After an away Thursday night high intensity game absolutely no chance they beat Burnley. Plus if they do win the semi no chance Lacazette and Aubameyang play Vs Burnley.
And this why the bookies are so ultra confident in their odds. I’m certain a couple of half decent actuaries have combed through the variables, and probably measured the closest us and Arsenal have come to an 8 goal swing each time we’ve both played all season and there’s fuck all there to say it’ll happen

Humbug. Odds are derived from one type of algorithm only, the algorithm of predicting the highest profit for the bookies. They set the odds not based on what they think will happen, but based on what they think will yield the most bets with the highest likelihood of ending in their pockets.

Fuck me, Arsenal are not over turning over an 8 goal deficit.

FFS under normal circumstances I would say no chance, but away from home they're atrocious, Burnley are exactly the type of team they hate coming up against and they'll have their eyes firmly on the EL final in all likelihood.
