I never mentioned anything about anyone overreacting, I simply asked when was the last time a player was sent off for a push!! I think you'll find it hard, or even impossible, to find any record of that happening, because referees don't send players off for pushing!!

Well, there was this vicious assault.

You sound like a Liverpool fan. We had a shocker yesterday, admit it and move on.

What the actual fuck? Where have I stated otherwise? Just didn't see the punch mentioned anywhere, and thought it could somewhat shed some light on why Son reacted so out of character.

I reckon he thought you meant Son and not Lerma, how I read your post you was calling Lerma irrelevant.

If there is one player this season I will allow to have a shocker it is Son. Gets fouled so much yet rarely gets the benefit of the refs. If he was Vardy would have had lots of protection. I wonder sometimes if it is just institutional racism at work?

Please don't take it there for fuck sake.

That was just a slight comment on how the retrospective bans seem to work. Had it been Dele Alli punching someone, I do get the feeling that he'd be facing a three game ban. Doubt Lerma will be undergoing too much investigation.

And if me thinking that means that I have to be called something bad, then for god sakes call me a nonce, and not Liverpool fan. That stuff hurts.

Look at the time stamp on the post you quoted.

If Son gets slack for being a generally even tempered gent who lost his cool in a moment of reaction to something deeply upsetting....
For sure. We're all human, and Spurs fans after all, and I didn't have you down as a repeat offender.

Still a bullshit red card, in my opinion. Numerous situations where people nudged each other today and the refs didn't bat an eyelid. Hey ho.

It's the manner in which the player reacted which sealed his fate...went down like a tree and the ref didn't see Son's push so assumed wrongly it was quite violent. Another case for using VAR.....prior to issuing a straight red...(y)

Are we gonna appeal the ban?

Apart from the most partisan on here I've not seen a single report that says it wasn't a red.

Of course it was a red. At first view live I thought it was a bit soft but after watching replays there was just too much force from Son. No complaints.

Still stunned at just how angry Sonny was. In the four years he has been with us I have never seen him react in that way to a challenge.
