The whole 'proud of this season' thing does my head in, but I'm pretty sure it's just his way of pointing out he's done a good job with shit tools. God knows what went on in the last 2 transfer windows, but we barely have 11 competent footballers at the club and most of them have been injured for extended periods. Add to that the stadium fiasco and you can't really argue he's done a good job under the circumstances. I can't think of any manager who would have done better with this group of players and the injury situation.

Ever since Poch confronted Mike Dean at Burnley we are struggling to get a decision go our way. Personally I think the manager has lost it. The team was not up for it against Ajax, and this clearly wound Poch up, hence the comments about Messi and his work rate. Ajax got two yellows we never got a card.

Yesterday we were so hyped up even Son was over reacting. Not starting Sissoko against Ajax was an error , if he was fit enough to come on before half time and help turn things round, he should have started. Sticking a not fully fit Waynama in their to compete with their mids was a disaster waiting to happen. Poch and the players have a chance to redeem themselves, let's hope he comes up with a practical game plan. I fancy that Kane will appear at some point before the seasons end.

If we're not playing Champions League next season (or final this time) then he should go.
Team reflects the manager, and they let us down towards the end of every season.

Two games to save his job
If you haven't become a more sensible poster next season then you should go.
A site reflects its posters and you've let us down every time we lose

Two posts to save your place

I don't agree with this, the stats show that we normally get stronger in the 2nd half of the season.

I still think the World Cup debacle has had a lasting affect on our players tbh.

That excuse is running out of steam. These are must win games and ones players should be up for irrespective of circumstances.

I hear a lot about poch being fussy with players he wants and it being down to him that we haven’t signed anybody.

That maybe correct and I don’t have the facts but I imagine it being more to do you levy saying here you go poch here’s £20m and poch saying “but Daniel the player that I want is £50m” and poch basically deciding that there is no point settling for second, third or fourth option!

That’s just an opinion

My gran would have done a decent job compared to some of the dross players have served up. A 20 million quid player would have been invaluable.

We chose to let Dembele go and not to strengthen and go with kids, but the likes of Skipp and KWP have barely played while the rest have been run into the ground. Our transfer policy has been nothing short of madness and is no doubt contributing to this terrible mess. I worry that Poch's stubbornness will be his undoing, just like Wenger. When Liverpool needed a goal yesterday Klopp turned to his fifth choice striker, who bagged the winner. Our second and third choice strikers sat on the bench.

I guess his greatest challenge was to get rid of the "Spursy" image we had and early on he made progress. But my word the last few months have been as bad as it gets and he has to shoulder responsibility.

Look, two wins in the next week and its a bed of roses again, but two losses and what happens next is anyone's guess. FWIW I wouldn't even consider sacking him, but as I said yesterday if I was his advisor I'd be telling him to chuck it in regardless. We have to be honest, the Spurs job is a graveyard for managers, none of them progress after leaving us.

Considering we made two half time substitutions and were down to nine men I don't see how the comparison is valid here.

even worse is the ‘if you’d have offered us this at the start of the season you’d be happy’ bullshit.

yes, we probably would. but considering we were right up there, and 10 points clear in 3rd at Christmas, no we bloody wouldn’t.

The failure to use players like VJ and Llorente (and others), came home to roost yesterday. Making do shouldn't be where we are at; not if we're serious about winning things. We started with two forwards on the bench in a game that we should have taken far more seriously.

the problem is, general consensus tells us tha they’re both not good enough. he plays them and gets criticism for doing so.

the team that started yesterday was more than good enough to win. they should have taken their chances.

the fact they didn’t is their own fault. Poch can’t control utter brainfarts on the pitch like we had yesterday.

Poch has always been very quick to stop poor form in the past. He hasn’t been able to turn it around since February...

A rather fluke run in the champions league has papered over a very poor 4-5 months for the club. Losing 13 games in a season is shockingly bad. And he is very stubborn with his approach and attitude towards systems and certain players.

Getting quite concerned by this now. Is he going as stale as the group of players?

I’d suggest too comfortable. Been thinking it for a while based on our transfer activity or lack of. I really think we operate best with a director of football but apparently he won’t have that. He needs it though if you ask me, I’ve said it many times in the past.

He didn’t want Lucas apparently. I’d hate to think what would of happened if we hadn’t of got him. It would have been 3 windows without a signing!

Not sure it's to do with lack of effort...if the players are tired then they're tired especially when we have a depleted squad as it is.

It has to have something to do with it, I can't for one second ever imagine it's down to lack of effort.

Even if you drop 5% in energy levels it gives PL opposition a chance.

I didn't see a lack of effort yesterday, I saw two crazy moments undo is.

I didn't see a lack of effort against WH, I saw a front four struggling to get into rhthym.

All of these can be down to tiredness.

Janssen and Llorente are not viable options for any occasion. If we put either one on yesterday, it would have been like playing with 8 men.

I was surprised, shocked Poch made two subs so early when down to ten men, I would have thought freshening it up when some players tired later in the half would have been the way, Dier had to be subbed, he was a time bomb ticking and was so poor, but Toby, even on a yellow is a far better option than irratic Foyth, and we all know how that ended.
