Park Lane will be the catalyst for lifting the team and the stadium. I worry a bit for games like Saturday. Hopefully it’ll be buzzing again

For one, you get no choice over where you get a ticket when you get through the donought of death system. I don't know if you use it but that is the reality at the moment
At that point you shouldn't be going. The only reason I go to games is for the atmosphere and if 1/4 of the stands is making atmosphere and has half the people telling me to stop chanting and sit down then that isn't fair as they could be in the other 3/4s of the stadium with the sitting bunch where I wouldn't choose to sit and rather save my money not going.

The single tier was created to generate atmosphere not prawn sandwiches!

We tried the Naan and Noodle’s Naan and Chicken Tikka which was good and very filling and then we sat o. The steps in the market place to eat them.

Let’s not forgot the ones standing up are the ones in the wrong not the ones sitting down.

While many don’t agree standing is illegal right now and I think fans need to realise this.

Even when safe standing comes in it’s only the bottom 20 rows I believe allowed.

Yes , my original post was to point out that the club were heading for trouble and a reduced capacity in those affected areas of the ground probably.

We couldn't get into the Marketplace at all - it was blocked off from the East concourse and guarded by several gilets jaune of considerable size. It's apparently not for the plebs on the Shelf.

I’ve been able to get into the Marketplace from the east without any problems. Although both times it was well over an hour before KO. Presumably they restrict access when it reaches a certain capacity?

The pitch is clearly not quite right. Watched the 1st half and in the close up TV shots you can see lots of divots. And there’s already a marked up area in one 6 yard box. But Darren has said they know what the issue is. I actually wonder what it is I didn’t push him on it but I’m sure will be sorted for next season. I guess the real test will be the first extended period under the stand. But what a night, can honestly say that’s the best all round experience I’ve ever had at a football match.
Seems to me they knew what the issue could be from the start - not enough light.
That's why they had the banks of artificial lights built in, but maybe it is not enough.

After the summer, perhaps the root systems will be charged up enough to last through the next season, or alternatively they strip it all away and go with a different mix.

Seems certain though that the pitch would not currently take kindly to be stuck in the carpark for a few weeks over a summer or even a few days for the NFL games.

Quite a lot of complaints on Twitter about this and does seem to be predominantly about that block. THST are getting involved on twitter, reporting them all and asking for any more info so hopefully it gets resolved somehow.

the stewards definitely never did themselves any favours, but with these videos we only see the incidents, and not before hand. if the stewards had already asked/told them to sit down, and they behaved aggressive to the stewards even verbally there are going to be incidents.

we all pay for a ticket, and with it being close to the family area there are some kids that when standing up cannot see F'all. there are also be elderly people that cannot stand to watch a match, and then those with little mobility. the minute 1 row stands it effects every single row going back. the seats are there for a reason, and until standing is ever introduced back into the game, I'm affraid people need to learn to park their arses on what they paid for. imagine paying all that money being a ST holder to then receive a ban for being selfish.

you can still create an atmosphere sitting down

Why on earth did you go in the south stand if you want to sit. Surely you know you would be ruining the VAST majority of south stand experience and ruining the atmosphere if you managed to get everyone to sit down :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

why can't people sing sitting down? I did for near on 90 minutes

The stewards are supposed to stop people sitting or standing on the steps. I went around to the marketplace once but it is way too crowded there and anyway were just a small group of drunks doing what they call singing rather adventurously singing how much they hate every football team they can think of of course using the f word repeatedly. Seems like a place to avoid

If i was forced to sit each and every game i would hand back my season ticket like im sure others would too. I dont care if its supposedly illegal i bought a season ticket on the south stand because it was the place to be for generating the atmosphere that our stadium deserves and team needs. Sitting down would kill that off. Emirates mk2 here we come and then everybody can cry about how terrible the atmosphere is. So far i have been lucky enough to stand for 180mins plus extra time and i hope that remains

if you can't shout sitting down, then perhaps you need to visit the quacks.

until safe standing is brought in, then standing effects other loyal supporters. as you have already made it known you joined the membership only recently, how would you feel if your chances where massively reduced because the authorities reduced the amount of bodies able to attend.

if I buy a season ticket in an area that's in a seating area, why should I have to struggle to watch what I paid for

Not going to defend the stewards because they're out of order there. I will say though that when people post videos like this they need to show the entire video not just a small selection. It's unlikely they acted this way without fans doing anything themselves.

The club will have all those videos on CCTV so they'll be able to see who the real perpetrators are.
