As the kids tickets were only £1 it does not surprise me in the slightest. Dad takes son and 3 or 4 of his mates. It’s like that often for cup matches etc. It’s good and I do wish there was a way where a few more could attend general matches. I suspect that with a 62k capacity that in the future this may happen a little more.

Did the kids not have to be st holders or members?

Hope 3 or 4 of the mates were all members then.
I couldn't get a ticket for me and my wife who's not a member.

I'll post this here and in a couple of threads so everyone sees. So proud to have him as our manager:

He's on the pitch, and here's what Pochettino has to say...

We all feel the same. It’s so exciting. I got the same feeling on the last day when we left White Hart Lane. We were crying. The same feeling here at the new stadium. We are almost crying.

It’s going to be a massive impact for the team to have all fans and that feeling. It’s our new house but we’re going to create a new home and that is different.

White Hart Lane was magic but I feel that this new stadium is the best in the world. I really believe that the future of the club is going to be fantastic.

Edit: some more comments:

'We must say thank you to Daniel Levy because he was the one who believed in that dream and he deserves big applause, and all the board and the people behind the scenes who worked so hard to make this dream a reality.

'And the fans, thank you for being patient for the last two years at Wembley, with all that means to move from your home, but the pay-off is going to be amazing and a massive help for the team to have the possibility to finish this season.

'We are in a very good place in PL and we know we have a massive challenge in the quarter final of the CL but with all our fans, 62,000 people we can make possible our dream to be in the semi-final, why not?'

The Spurs boss added: 'I got the opportunity to play at WHL as a manager with Southampton and I could feel the support and the atmosphere and energy of the fans behind the team.

'It is going to be a massive fillip for the team to feel all our fans. It is our new house, our new home and it is going to be magic.

'White Hart Lane was magic and this is going to be one of the best of the best in the world.'

'When it starts to feel like home it will be unbelievable. I really believe the future of the club is going to be fantastic.'

I live in South Shields and I hadn’t been to the lane in many years. How likely am I to get tickets for a our new home? Is the expectation it’ll be a sell out once season ticket holders and members have their spots?

For some games. But there will be tickets available. Maybe not this season as everyone will want to watch a game there so members will probably take up most spare ones.
