I honestly think he's done. Sounds like a man who's lost the plot and lost the ability to motivate the team, week on week.
Poch blames the players for being arrogant, but if Poch had instilled enough urgency in the players before the game, or at the very least had a firm half time talk about how they might come out a stronger side in the second half, I don't think the players would have been quite so casual or overconfident. Also Poch didn't choose his best XI at his disposal, and this might have also sent the wrong message to our players or affected their mentality on a subconscious level that this was going to be an easy win.
Yes, I know that this shouldn't have affected their performance regardless, I am not giving them an excuse, but this shows Poch was just as much part of the "mentality" issue we have, in that he was arrogant enough to leave out certain key players, starting academy/young players who haven't had substantial game time, by choosing not to be more proactive even after they made two subs at HT, etc.
And his biggest mistake yesterday was switching to the diamond and hoping that we would still turn it around when we don't exactly have a good track record.
Also I can't shake off the feeling that all these negative comments Poch has been making are hurting our team morale. Certainly, something has to change, but wouldn't it be more effective if he approached the issue less publicly?
Yes I wondered that. If we fail to get CL it might make him realise that he has reached his ceiling at the club. On the other hand, the new stadium and the possible lack of better offers might encourage him to stay.I honestly think he's done. Sounds like a man who's lost the plot and lost the ability to motivate the team, week on week.
He sounds like a man who has run out of ideas. He’s pulling the same levers he’s always pulled, but not getting the effects. His only hope is that these levers suddenly start working again. The danger is that he honestly believes all the problems are on the pitch, not the training ground.I honestly think he's done. The problem is not Poch, he's been a master in tactical play and setting up the team imo. Poch has also taken players to the highest of their abilities what he need now is better players.

I will beg to disagree with you...especially regarding tactics and team selections. Yesterday's debacle was a prime example. Long break ahead and he decides to 'rest' some big players a day early.....WTF ??

FORGET Fergie.... remember United spent a fortune and recycled players. Poch is on the right tracks but now needs financial help in the transfer market.Poch needs to learn to use the hairdryer.
After yesterday’s second half performance, Fergie would have made sure that the players don’t forget that in a long while.
I really don't understand this myth about Poch lack of tactical awareness... did you not see Dortmund and other games we've played this season. We've played a combination of formations this season...Poch is squeezing everything out of these players.Poch has taken us as far as he can with this current squad of players and financial restrictions. Our current level is challenging for top 4 with the next level being winning cups/titles.
If bean counter (Levy) loosened the purse strings, can Poch lead us to glory? I think he can but he does have some glaring weaknesses (tactics & identifying players) which he does need to urgently address. There is no question that he is the best in the world at improving players.
I'm glad with the comments he made yesterday because the whole club from Lewis/Levy, to Poch and the players, need to look at themselves and really decide what they want. If Lewis/Levy aren't going to spend then I really hope they sell up and find someone who will. They would have to be realistic with their valuation though but I think they will be too greedy.
Lewis/Levy have owned us for 2 years longer than Abramovich has Chelsea, yet all we've won in that time is a League Cup whereas they've won 14 trophies. I hate Chelsea but that says it all about our owners intentions. Profit before players.

needs to stick with the same TEAM & FORMATION for more then one game! The reason behind our success during the xmas period was because we stuck with the same team and had some fluidity, i highly doubt he will change tho and will keep chopping and changing especially with CL incoming
