I think some of our fan base need a serious reality check when it comes to Ryan Sessegnon.

It's possible that he goes on to be a top player because right now he's very young but he's done very little in the Prem this season and personally I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Most importantly though, he's not worth 50m and he's certainly not ready to be starting for Spurs, not at LW and certainly not at LB. There was a lot of hype for him coming out of the championship and rightly so but he's barely even starting for Fulham right now so I'm not sure why so many of our fans still want him.

We need to be spending our money elsewhere, in my opinion.

I think Sessegnon is an interesting player. As a teenager he was rated Championship player of the season, youngest player to win the award. So there is potential there.

We have to remember he is only 18. Almost any 18 year old struggle playing in the Prem for a team as bad as Fulham.

Fulham are going to get relegated which means he should be available.

The largest sticking point will be his price. If we struggle to generate funds through sales then buying Sessegnon would likely take up all our net spend.

But as a talent I would definitely want us to look into him. He is only 18, way too early to write him off.

The fact that he’s not got a chance this season means we should be even more interested as his stock will be slightly lower. Fulham have been shockingly managed this year, and as soon as they got into a relegation dog fight they took him out of the team for more experienced players like Schurle who’ll want to leave if they go down anyway.

Sessegnon has unbelievable quality on the the ball, he makes great decisions around the penalty box and has a sweet as a nut left foot. Just because he doesn’t have the searing pace or dribbling of Sancho then Fifa-obsessed types think he’s nothing special, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Are they having a closing down sale ?
They're hovering above relegation and having a lot of internal wars "reportedly". TBH I love Bents but pretty much none of their squad have been good this year.

Jonathan Barnett, said in an exclusive interview with talkSPORT on Tuesday that Bale may consider leaving if the jeers continue.

And Clive Allen weighing in with an opinion, too...

Bale as a full back? Interesting. Hmmm :cautious:;)

Actually I feel we should be scouring all the leagues at home and abroad to find the best value full backs to back up those we have. Especially if the scousers can pick up someone like Roberston. Players with the potential to be better - especially RB. Then we can really use the money for the 2 CM's we need so much. And even another attacking CF/WCF.

Haha yeah. We do need a proper left back so Bale will do I suppose.

Seeing as this is a wishlist rather than reality it's a whole bunch of younger players for me:
Sess, de Ligt, wan Bissaka, Rice, Ndombele, Sancho, Brooks, and Brandt.

And let go Toby, Aurier, Trippier, Wanyama, GNK, Janssen, Eriksen, and Lamela.
Although to clarify I wouldn't want Toby and Eriksen to go.

Bring Bentaleb home!

Kidding!

Not... :sneaky:

This is when we get cryptics all summer about a left footed, former player starting with the letter B returning only for it to be Bentaleb not Bale.

You get 2 players returning for the price of 1 with Bentaleb - Bale and Bent!
