Don’t know why but thought I’d be more annoyed at the fact we signed nobody, strangely calm?

I can see us getting rid of and loosing up to ten players this summer. Thats a massive change in the squad. Thats what is worrying me.

Question on Twitter to: @jetsetyid
If we could have lost a few and brought in the right players to replace we would have but Committee not going to panic buy.

Well, we did lose Dembele and we knew he was going for a while. No need to panic buy. Do a bit of planning ahead instead.

It would be a start. As long as we have the intention if trying them. But I do see a couple of issues with that. 1. We would essentially need these players immediately as we won't be signing both young players for loan AND for the squad 2. What message does it send to our academy?Poch has stated he wants to use it.

Yeah it's a tricky one, it's all about balance, on a side note whilst this thread has no real transfer news, I do wonder if we are hesitant to sign a striker as they believe Parrott is the real deal.

Question on Twitter to: @jetsetyid not strengthening the squad or improving on certain weak areas can’t have been the plan going into the last two windows can it?

Answer:
@jetsetyid No but also wide spread changing of team wasn’t in the plan either

This summer and 19/20 season was always the plan for new players for many reasons.
I don't blame to club for taking a cautious approach given the continuing uncertainty surrounding the stadium and its final cost. The scenario of finally investing in the squad come the summer would seem to square the circle between ghostofarmo's "we're skint" ITK and all of the other ITK that we've got money to spend -- i.e., there's money in the bank but it just isn't prudent to spend it until everything has been settled with the stadium.

The squad we've got in place has been good enough to carry us to a 7-point gap over fourth place despite a genuine season-long injury crisis, so it can't be all that bad. It's a shame what's happened in the cups but we have a very manageable fixture list between now and the end of the season.

That being said, I sincerely hope that JJ is right that there will be activity in the summer, because this period of total austerity has definitely revealed some places in the squad that need to be addressed for us to realistically have a chance to take the next step.

If the plan was always to have a shuffle around 2019/2020 then I'm assuming this was in the belief we would have had a full season at NWHL with the idea that we'd generate more money? and interest more players?

I think it gets even harder trying to keep players like Eriksen when we go two Windows without signing any players. They want the club to show some ambition. Cant blame them if they want out.

As I’ve said many times, it’s fine Levy, Poch and even some fans having the patience to ride this period out, but I’m not convinced players will share it.

I mean if Eriksen is in two minds then its hardly likely to influence him to stay is it?

We are generating more money at Wembley then what we did at WHL at least.

I do hope so. But you never know with youth. We may not see him until he's 22, that's a long wait.

Think the Eriksen situation will come down to one thing and one thing only: Whether the Spanish giants come in for him or not. If they decide to use their funds elsewhere I don't think he'll up sticks just because Poch didn't want to make changes to the squad this winter.
