I'm adamant Serge has an account on here and loves a wind up, maybe it's Paolo and he's really self critical.

Yes.

mummy dearest will be the biggest hurdle, by sounds of previous mentions in the past, I can see her telling her little boy to stay put and take a decent sign-on figure in the summer
His mother it an absolute knobhead, so there will be nothing simple about getting the player contract side of things done it will be very difficult imo. We will have to wait and see.
In other words it will never happen.
But should be a fun meeting between Levy and Mrs Rabiot.
He might end up banging her

Come on @Archibald&Crooks likes a Mum? Right up your street. Get on the negotiating team, pidgeon french, and before you know it she'll have you gimped up:censored: and smashing it before the ink has dried on her son's new Spurs contract...sorted.

Bonnet De douche, mon petite pois...;)

I'm enjoying the fact that if Rabiot does end up signing for us, a fair bit of Spurs fans have already made peace with the fact that he'll more than likely try to leave the club in 2 years  It'll be like we have him on a long term loan for a yet to be determined bigger club than ours.

Yea I was thinking about this earlier, how I’ve already got it in my head that he’s not going to be here for the club he’s here for himself. Mercenary. But as long as he shows out I am fine with it. 1 mercenary isn’t going to ruin the culture.

And we'll make a bit of profit.

Win win for everyone, really. PSG gets him out of their hair, he gets a year and a half to show Barca or Real he’s grown up, We get a year and a half of him showing his world class talent and a pretty nice profit on his eventual sale!

Out of curiosity, when was it during the last year’s January window that things started heating up with Moura? I recall there was a bit of chatter over the wire, but it was just that... then suddenly... it went from a tepid “don’t hold your breath, mate” to “holy crap, this is gonna happen”!!
Then again, my Lillywhite tinted memories may be playing tricks on me!!

If I recall, it was just interest for like 2-3 weeks and then suddenly he was at our training ground

Not only that, but if I remember correctly the club beat reporters (Ally G, Kilpatrick, etc) all said it wasn’t going to happen pretty much right up until it happened.

This feels like it’s treading the same path. But Lucas seems like a decent guy with a good attitude. The whole Rabiot circus seems anything but.

Watching that vid I'm reminded of what Poch said about Dembele - "if we'd got hold of you five years earlier we'd have made you the best midfielder in the world". I wonder if he sees that in Rabiot. He might even have told him as much if/when they spoke. There certainly seems to be oodles of talent to work with.

Totally agree, mouthwatering prospect.

Definitely available, PSG want shot of him and have proven to have a decent working relationship with us in the past.
Rabiot’s preferred options are rapidly disappearing, so he will be left with a choice, mend his bridges at PSG or take an option he previously rejected. Seems to me he’s more likely to do the latter, and the ego bashing he’ll have taken as his preferred clubs looked elsewhere may just settle him down.
We all know we’ve been watching him for some time, we must’ve done our due diligence about his attitude, especially having ex PSG and French teammates onboard. I think our persistence will pay off and there will be a late swing from the ITK as the situation changes quite quickly, this will be a late window deal. CL squad may have to be juggled, but he could take Dembele’s non HG PL squad place.

Poch has stated that place will definitely go to foyth as it was heartbreaking to take it away from him last time.

There are others who could miss out though imho - wanyama maybe...

It wouldn't be the first time that a deal was being reported as off or dead and the deal actually was alive and being completed......

Would love this to go through! He reminds me of a more defensive version of Pogba. To think that a player of his quality is available for so cheap when we were quoted £45m for Grealish!
