Sure I’ll get called nit picking (quite ironic when I’m a happy clapper on twitter) anyways anyone actually defend this ? looks shocking probably worst part of the entire exterior. I get they are trying to mimic the veil. But blimey they’ve royally screwed that up.

Yeah agree if it stays like that it looks naff and sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the classy look of the rest of the stadium.

Looks like someone had a liquid lunch before the design meeting and was bored and half cut when suggesting it.

I don’t see why they didn’t use navy blue like the sky bridge or the same cladding they have used for the shop as I think that looks great and understated, but it isn’t finished yet so that may not be the final look.

And just to add, in the grand scheme of things I doubt I will really give a shit once it’s done and we are playing there every other week.

Why because I think that cladding looks awful. Am I only allowed to praise everything ?
Are you only allowed to criticise everything? After the Rochdale bullshit this morning you come back with another ‘problem’. Maybe you are genuinely pessimistic but the scattergun approach you have to throwing negativity on the new stadium, especially making false claims, leaves you open to criticism yourself.

Had a look, in here these are from the last few days....

You would think the ideal time to lay the grass would be 2-3 months from final completion. Enough time for it to bed in and enough for it to be fresh. I think it would close the rumours on 19/20 completion. Would seem a bit odd to lay it now if stadium not ready till next July.
Shadow will be interesting when cockerel in
I’m sure 2 weeks on a pitch would be considered a rush job. Anyways saw advert for stewards, which you would think they wouldn’t do 6 months in advance.
Looks a lot more patchy than I was expecting. I think anyone thinking that would be ready in 2 weeks to play on is pretty wide of the mark.
I’ve seen pitches unrolled and laid that look completely normal and ready to play on as Rochdale did last season. As I said before I doubt 3 days or even 2 weeks is ideal. But they have “looked” ready. Never seen a new pitch in that state. Obviously not concerned as it will likely have a couple of months to bed in.
Wonder what’s so secretive about the laying of the turf. Obviously something they don’t want people to see.
Blimey why’s everyone so shirty. All I said was I didn’t expect it to look so shit when first rolled. Never said it wouldn’t look fine in a few days.

i dont care about nitpickers. All that matters to me is its the home for the mighty SPURS. I imagine to myself that it must have been a similar feeling when the first proper terrace went up at WHL over a century ago.
The roar will be incredible at the 1st kick off, and i cant wait. The noise will set it apart from the library. You wont need binoculars to see like at the london stadium. The fans will actually be supporting their team unlike (insert manc team of choice here). And the football will be brilliant (providing we dont decide to be sporting 2nd half and capitulate).

Yes i've got my john lennonesque rose tinted glasses on , and i dont care about critics.
There we go i've nailed my lilywhites to the mast.

I'll take yellow grass, vanilla color wall, shadows from the cockerel, few stewards if it means getting the new stadium open.

Not working for me just black with the cockeral bottom right.

On the official site they said they would need to take the cameras down from time to time to "move equipment."

I think there are some proprietary actions that need to be done that we don't want people to see. This is a one of a kind tray system, and I'm sure whomever designed it wants to keep the tech a secret. The cams are on all day while it's being laid, and then they go off for a time to allow something to happen. It's been like this the last 3 nights.

Also, no one has mentioned that the official site says that "The hybrid stabilised turf, reinforced by polypropylene strands, is similar to the pitch we had at White Hart Lane." There's a lot more tech in that grass than what Rochdale threw down in a week.

You absolutely cannot use lifts if an evacuation is needed. If you aren't able to take the stairs, there should be a marked safe location - normally on a landing on a stairwell - which should be safe for a period of time (often 30 minutes) in the event of a fire, from where you'll be evacuated (normally carried out, potentially on a stretcher or what have you) by a member of staff or the fire brigade.

Even though the absence of lifts therefore shouldn't effect the ability to evacuate in an emergency, I think the PR of having to tell most mobility-impaired fans they weren't able to go to the first game even if they had season tickets would be pretty disastrous, I just can't see us doing that.
Ejector seats and zip wires. Sorted.

I think there was some image/diagram a while back showing how the hybrid turf is made up. Not sure if it made it in here, but it's been reported.

don't forget about the screen in the north stand blocking the view of the kop, you can see the whole pitch but impossible to see the whole kop:whistle:

I think that’s probably why they paint on white lines... :cautious:

Spot on! The area is called a "refuge"
Here's hoping they forget to take the camera's down and I can get rid of my Sky subscription
You voiced what I was thinking the other day! (y) If this was to happen, Sky and BT Sport would get a hit!!
