He wouldn't have been in front of a Judge. It would have been in a magistrates court, heard by one or two magistrates.
Yes, he was in front of a magistrate. Semantics...

Stripped of captaincy? Because of one mistake? Oh stop. Come off it. Wasnt stripped immediately after and certainly should not be now. He was punished. Whether its enough or not, he cant be punished again.Appalling behaviour by Lloris
that financial penalties won't address
or even driving bans in his case.
His wealth will easily offset all of this
If the club are not to act seriously*
I would have liked to have seen
a substantial Community Service order
over several months
in local hospital emergency departments for example.

Hugo Lloris court case outcome
* By this I mean removal from him of the captaincy.
Young team and focus on 'our own' and Academy
warrants this .
Bad example to youngsters within the club and young fans.
He’ll get a two week fine from us as it’s the maximum we can impose and that will be it now I suspect. Hopefully he will be made or volunteer to do some alcohol related work with the Foundation in the local area as well.
We need him back in goal on Saturday though, there’s little doubt about that.
Yep, I think there has to be more to this. I wonder whether he told Poch the truth about the state he was in when he was bailed out the week before the United game.“Several weeks” very odd when apparently 10 days ago he’d be fine for Liverpool. Got to say looked fine the other night jumping around with the World Cup.
Hugo is out "several weeks" with a thigh injury according to twitter.
How did he hurt his leg? Is this some bullshit reason that the club is giving the public, while the real reason he is missing is because he is serving a club imposed penalty due to his drink driving indiscretion.
It's the club's official twitter saying it, so it's fairly reliable...Why would we handicap ourselves like that, that doesn't make any sense?
And Twitter isn't the most reliable of sources...

Yeah, agreed. The only reason to do that would be the signalling/PR effect. And then we wouldn't cover it up with an injury.Gotcha but onto my first point, we have no reason to cover up a club penalty, maybe he is actually Injured...
I think we dont care about PR anymore, we've scored more own goals this season then i care to remember, its embarassingMaintaining him as Captain sends a poor message out in my opinion and not a good PR move at all.
