All those of you excited by JJ and GF itk when you were flipping out yesterday....

Hahaha have a word with yourself

It was always likely that there were things going on behind the scenes that the general public are not privy to. It would be HUGELY surprising if there weren’t. So do not assume your ignorance, or the ignorance of anyone else (INCLUDING ITK), means that we are not doing anything.

Wait till deadline day has passed before losing your beautiful little minds.
I really hope you were smoking a Gitanes when you wrote that last sentence

In at least the past decade we've not had a summer transfer window where we've failed on all fronts and where we've not signed at least one player who has gone on to have major impact in the first team. I don't get where this attitude comes from that we always fail. The club say we're still trying. All the ITKs do rigth up until today. The track record is of pulling off deals. Our history says the chances of at least one half decent signing is greater than not.

When Gareth Bale strolls into Hotspur way at 10:00pm on 9th August you won't say we've failed then.

Alright, I might have made the last bit up...
It does however feel like we only make one improvement to the squad each window despite buying several players. Sanchez, Wanyama have come in amongst others the past two years and they are the only ones who have commanded a first team place.

Great to hear some of our longest standing ITKS with some positivity!

As for Grealish, he’s been dead and revived so many times, if he signs I’m going to really disappointed if collectively we don’t agree to forever call him the cat. Same for Zaha.

This is bang on, from past experience, its always a good sign when things go quiet from the club even bearing in mind things have tightened up with leaks

That's no change then in regards Zaha, I imagine Levy is currently saying that he won't match Palaces' valuation and that is where the 'dead' comments come from.

I guess like with anything, things can change and there is the possibility Levy could go back in with more money.... *optimistic ratings*

Called it page 3 lol. There was always something fishy going on with palace signing all these players when Hodgson said they were skint only a month ago.
I mean £24m on Danny Ings for heavens sake.

He's definitely off somewhere.

Got to say I doubted both were dead previously. Unless Zaha signs for someone else then it’s not technically dead.

And this is one where the window closing early doesn't really matter, as Palace's best option to sell him for the largest sum is selling him within the league. So Levy can play chicken while they spend all the money from his pending sale, until they HAVE to get rid of him on deadline day.

Spurs leave the negotiating table after the player has head set on leaving and Palace have already made their move to replace him. Sounds very Levy.

Yeah I honestly thought he would stay at Palace until the last day or so where they're seemingly all of a sudden spending quite a bit of money. Ings is not the only one, they've brought in Kouyate for £10m and Meyer will be costing a bit in wages i'd imagine. If there's a couple more on top of those I definitely think something has got to give their end.

Considering Roy said himself they didn't have money and to prepare for another transfer battle, makes me think they have made a tidy profit on a player.

It amazes me how teams are still willing to deal with him after all these years. I wonder if the other owners laugh and it's just Danny boy being Danny boy or if they can't stand dealing with him.

Zaha is not happening unfortunately. We have not been perusing his signature this summer despite the leaks in the press. He has not been on our list of targets this window and the club are frustrated at the fact it looks like he has been.

Listen, if you are ITK can you just message @Archibald&Crooks so we can consider your information? If true its interesting as its contrary to other ITK.

If you don't we know you are just on your school holidays. Either way we will know and won't be wasting our time.

Excellent recent ITK on Grealish and Zaha. Both are natural, exciting fits for us imo given our needs and well documented squad registration issues. I'd be pleased enough if both came off and that was us done. I think we would have had a pretty decent window if that eventuates.
