Winks left him behind a couple of years ago and has progressed since, not sure Josh has advanced in that time.
I would love Onomah to be given opportunity in midfield as would be ideal alongside a holder such as Dier / Wanyama as if he can match his youth team form he would be a really good catalyst from deep.
He was so highly rated and showed such ability it would really be a shame if he doesn't get the opportunity in his proper position.
I feel he could play well with Winks too as they are both different kinds of box to box midfielders.
Josh has gone to Sheffield Wednesday for the season on loan. Lets hope he gets regular football and can come back to Spurs next summer and kick on.

I dont think there has ever been any indication that he sulks, he asked for a loan move last season i believe? This move will be what he makes of it. If he goes in with a positive attitude, the sky is the limit. If he sulks, then it could be a major step back and could set his career back significantly. He needs playing time and he won't get that at spurs this year without injuries. too much riding on the season. What i'm disappointed for him is not being in the line up for the first game at the new stadium (assuming it happens this season.) and that his practice sessions won't have nearly the talent to challenge him. (Slower pace of play). also disappointed he won't be there under the lights for the first game will be one of those unforgettable moments especially for someone so young. wish this kid nothing but the best. well he does need to show something positive this season...wonder if things would have been different had he traveled to the US and played v well?He asked for another one, but management was going to loan him out one last time. If it doesn’t work, sadly he will be sold..
