Don't see why he should destroy the balance of the squad. He's not an ego maniac as far as i'm aware.

If anything it would give the team a massive boost, would be ironic if we signed Bale and sold Rose .

But Real can encourage a bidding war before formally accepting an offer and triggering our clause.

Other than PSG and United who else would be genuinely in for him considering he wouldn't drop his wages for them?

Bale doesn’t have a big ego, look at his National Team at the Euros. He was part of the team, not demanding the ball all the time like other top stars.

If he leaves Madrid, in all fairness pretty much every other team is a step down. Four out of the five last CL Finals winners. No one can match that!

Surely they would be interested in Toby? Maybe a clause to match any future bids for Kane or Dele? Something to sweeten the deal? Doesn’t mean we agree to selling them, but play it like they have played this deal for Bale.

I think the fee would be do-able, we have a lot going for us, we’d surely be making Gareth think about re-joining? Especially good ties with his agent. Are the stars lining up? Could we sign the the CL Final hero of Madrid? If there’s any hope, we have to throw our hat in to the ring. It would take a lot of work to get it there, but I think we could do it.

The wages is the biggest problem. Not sure how our other players would feel with them seeing Bale on such a high salary aswell. Need to think of them also.

Tell the players who start whining that once they single handedly win 2 CLs as well as other cup finals they can have the same wages as Gareth

He’ll have to drop his wages no matter where he goes, neither PSG nor United would want to match what he’s currently on.

Chelsea will be looking to rebuild. Again. Although they are an unlikely destination.

Point is that just because we have our clause, it doesn't mean that clubs bidding won't create an auction and price us out.

I don't think it's about us being able to meet the transfer fee, I think we could. The biggest stumbling block is his wages. What is the most we can pay? £150k pw, maybe a bit more, without totally peeing off the rest of our big guns? Will Bale want to accept such a massive drop in wages when Utd could match his wage demands. In an ideal world where we could afford the deal on both fronts, I would have no doubt that Bale would favour a move to us, but there are realistic factors that exist that pretty much stops us from entertaining the idea.

The minute Bale left us, was always going to more than likely be his last time in a Spurs shirt. The stadium could be our future in regards to being able to sign a marquee signing like Bale, but right now this potential transfer comes a little too soon.

Bale loves his golf and he has been criticised by the Spanish media for spending more time on the golf course than on the pitch in recent seasons.

Harry Kane is also a keen golfer and I’m sure they would make good golfing buddies.
He came from sunny Spain
To play golf with Harry Kane

Guys i spent last week nearly argueing with some of the sc that bale was a different class. Some even compared him to rooney ? I really think last night proved my point. If after last nights performance he doesnt put ronaldo on the bench then rm are insane. I totally believe now that bale will finish his career at madrid. The man is in the top 5 players in the world to me. And i cant do anything but appreciate the football he gives the world. Legend
