We either respond or crumble.

We've a different mentality now. I have a feeling that after this loss, the boys might go all out to win our remaining games and hope that Chelsea drop sufficient points for us to have the last laugh. (Well, fingers crossed anyway).

Yes 8 would be enough to finish above Arse! But not city Liverpool and maybe Man U. Everyone keeps saying I am pessimistic or unrealistic. But as you have just shown we only got 8 points last year so to be honest I don't think it is unrealistic to be a little worried about our ability to definitely finish fourth? People can debate it if they wish but I feel we have a tough run in and the games against Arse and united are pivotal.
Look I have been a Spurs supporter since 1970. Yes I want us to beat chelski to the title but I am afraid I tend to be looking at who's chasing us rather than that. Too many years mate too many years.
And for that reason alone that is why I started the conversation about finishing 4th and above Arse would be enough for me this year!! Do I want 2nd. Do I think we can hold onto 3rd come end of the season. I'm am going to say maybe, sorry.
Super winner this post. I share the same thoughts

I agree although as we saw yesterday, Lady Luck will have her say.

We will crumble. Its already written in the scripts. Something like this.

"The impact of losing to Chelsea in the semifinal was too much for a young and relatively inexperienced Spurs side"

Very similar to last season after we handed the title to Leicester at Stamford Bridge.

"The impact of drawing against Chelsea which cost them the league title was too much for a young and relatively inexpeienced Spurs side"

I'm a very pessimistic guy, but thats just me after years and years and years of "wash-rinse-repeat" season-end collapses from us.

Batter Palace. Put the fear of God back into those rent boy ****s. You can have your shitty FA Cup final day out. But you fuck up even just a little and we're taking the league title off you. Yeah, the one you'd already won in February. Pricks.

This is what we need to do. End of.

Annoyingly if we drop any points now the press will label us as legends after the FA Cup Semi Final loss (where we were very unlucky to lose after bossing Chelsea for 'the middle 70' minutes). The league was lost (or more accurately, won by Chelsea) before Xmas when Chelsea had no European commitments and established a big lead. We have closed a gap from 14 points down to 4 after we were knocked out of Europe, not a sign of bottling at all. Now last 6 games we have much harder fixtures and will inevitably drop some points. It will be unbearable if this happens at West Ham though!

Even after their win yesterday Chelsea know we are the real deal and a threat to them, that much is clear. I'm not sure how such an experienced team let nerves get to them with such a good lead.

Now this week is in their hands but if we keep winning they will feel the pressure again, but that is a big IF as every game left is tricky in its own way...

I will be surprised if we haven't draw one then lost one by next weekend Chelsea will win the title and most probably do the double again.

I hate to say it but I think we'll crumble. Hope to God boys prove me wrong.
Pochs got to get this team back on its feet.
Wednesday will tell us how we're going to finish the season.
If we win it'll restore confidence and that hope of 'just maybe'.
Drop points and it'll be a slow death like last season.

Our main target now is to maintain a top two finish. Anything more is a bonus.

The boys have to keep a positive mentality.

Our main target is to win the league. That's what the players and coaches will be aiming for. Win our last 6 games and it'll probably be enough. Which is a huge task but that's the target we aim for.

Fuck me it's like the end of the world in here. We've lost for the first time since the 11th of February and the defeat wasn't even in the league.

Some of you need to get a grip.

Wednesday is so important for the rest of our season, that is very clear

Poch and the players will say loads over the next few days about mentality and moving on, but they said the same last year after west brom @ WHL and we all know how that season ended

I do think we are a different team this year but they are kids and that defeat will be hard on them, look at Dier and Eriksen interviews last night, how deflated they looked, can they bounce back

We lose on Wed and then we have a NLD on Sunday and Arse will sense blood.... do not under estimate Wed game for the rest of the season

Spam me as much as you want but we will see what happens if we drop any points on wed in which is a very difficult game.... the next 6 games are real tough. There is no chance of title but I would love 2nd and that would be success as progress on last year despite the money spent by the so called sky top 4.

We need CL football guaranteed before the summer break or we really risk losing some of our key assets this summer, and I would even put Poch into that too.

I think its years of getting close and not winning anything. Yes we haven't lost for ages but we need to win something now. We'll see what this team is made of on Wednesday

This team is 3 year old. It took Ferguson 5 before he won anything with United.

Years of getting close but not really as close as we've come in the last 2 seasons.

Our team under Redknapp would have shat themselves yesterday after going behind twice. In fact in 2012 they did.

This team doesn't shirk their responsibility or hide away. We came back twice from a goal down. They are made of stern stuff. I agree we need to win something but we also need to have some patients. They are young. Poch is learning as much as they are about trying to get over the line.

This team is better than that team for sure, I think they've proved that. But like i said we will see if this time it really is different. We need to finish second and beat Arsenal at the weekend. No excuses
