I thought the plan was to leave it closed to simulate the 51,000 we would get at a league match next season. Only opening the top tier if the demand was huge.
I know it hasn't gone to general sale (I'm waiting for it as I'd like to go with my dad who isn't a member) so it'd be interesting to know how the club feel it is selling.

Maybe. The website says that "To ensure the best possible atmosphere in the stadium, tickets will first be released to purchase on Levels 1 (Lower Tier) and 2 (Club Wembley).". It refers to a phased sale process but doesn't specify if or when they might release tickets for the top tier. Maybe they won't make that decision until the tickets have been on sale for a few weeks and they can assess the level of demand.

What happened to getting first refusal on the knock out stages for those of us who purchased multi game group stage tickets?

Yep, because of the fact the whole stadium isn't open (those who bought packages in the upper tier couldn't get the same seat for this, and if they gave priority to letting people in the lower/middle keep their seat the upper people would've had a poor range to choose from).

I thought that's what happened, i was in the upper tier. I don't recall any announcement on it though.

I think they will sell tickets to the upper tier but think they want those that normally do the singing etc... all kept together before releasing the tickets that will probably flood the place with those that dont - it's the sensible thing to do & hope the singing etc rubs off on everyone (creating a heartbeat).

Even with the explanations I don't see it happening.
I think I'd rather us open our new stadium as a finished product as opposed to moving in and then completing it whilst we're there.
